Is it old?...Is it vintage?....
Is it a treasure?
What is it about "old" that attracts me?
Old dinnerware, flatware, bowls, pitchers,
utensils, linens....
I could go on and on....
I have always had this love for "vintage"...even as a little girl..
It is very hard for me to resist anything "old."
(Even Mr. D...bahahahaha)
I have several crocheted pieces from my Granny, they are treasures...some are so fragile due to their age that I don't use them. There is a book that belonged to my great grandfather, he wrote some notes in it, I wouldn't take a million for it...priceless ! My great grandmother's cut glass , oh it's so pretty....I'll be sharing all these things as time goes on...
I have so many items that I don't have a history on...bought on junkin trips...but they belonged to someone many years ago....sometimes I look at them and wonder about their past.....hmmmm....tre♥sures...
Even tho I tease a lot about "junkin"....
to me it's really a Tre♥sure Hunt!
As much as I enjoy all the earthly treasures I know someday the dishes will break, the flatware will rust and tarnish and the linens will rot from age...But I have a Heavenly Treasure that will never break, tarnish or rot....that's my salvation through Jesus Christ..amen !
Blue Monday.
!!Come on over ! !
Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Matthew 6:19-21
