It's A Play Day

I love days like today!
I don't have anything that I HAVE to do.

I call these kind of days
Play Days!

You ladies know we don't get those free days often.
Even now there's a load of clothes in the washer and the
bed still needs to be made.
BUT...after the clothes are done and the bed is made,
 it's a free day, it's a Play Day!

Gonna do some crafting and some re-arranging in my kitchen.
Between you wonderful Bloggers and Pinterest I
have a lot of ideas I want to do.

I tried a new craft last week and it didn't go well at all...
In fact, it is now in the trash..
Have you ever done that?
Not going to tell you what it is because I'm trying
again...hopefully I'll get it right this time.

I'll take pictures this time,
you might see something very pretty OR
you might see a mess in the trash.
Wish me luck...

Have a great weekend, hope to see you again soon.

"And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing,
you will receive."

Lore of the Bluebonnet

Texas Bluebonnets ~ Texas Pride
Today I'm sharing from an article from Aggie Horticulture
By: Jerry M. Parsons, Steve George and Greg Grant

Bluebonnets have been loved since man first trod the vast prairies of Texas.
Indians wove fascinating folk tales around them.  The early-day Spanish
priests gathered the seeds and grew them around their missions.  This
practice gave rise to the myth that the padres had brought the plant from
Spain, but this cannot be true since the two predominant species of
bluebonnets are found growing naturally only in Texas and
at no other location in the world.

As historian Jack Maguire so aptly wrote, "It's not only the state
flower but also a kind of floral trademark almost as well known to
outsiders as cowboy boots and the Stetson hat."
He goes on to affirm,  "The bluebonnet is to Texas what the
shamrock is to Ireland, the cherry blossom to Japan,
the lily to France, the rose to England and the tulip to Holland."

I thought that was a very interesting article about these beautiful
flowers.  I grew them in my flower beds years ago and eventho they
added so much beauty, it's nothing compared to them
growing wild.

It's a wonderful road trip each spring to drive the back roads of
Texas and enjoy the fields of bluebonnets.

Time for Jenny Matlock's
Today's letter is
~B~
It's always interesting to see what everyone comes up with for the
letter of the week!

So glad you stopped by.

Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
