Around My Home Town
Five Points Park
Something new, it's named Five Points because
5 streets come together at the intersection.
The city sponsors concerts here during the summer months.
The old train depot was a regular stop on the
Moonlight Express from Houston to Sylvan Beach.
The old library, restored and open for tours.
The depot and library have been moved from their
original location to this park which is close to
Sylvan Beach. They are now museums
under the care of The La Porte Heritage Society.
This sculpture was done by a local artist for the
Heritage Society.
The children are an inspiration from
the artist's grandchildren.
I love this tree, it's at the Post Office.
You might think it's like this because it's
been trimmed for power lines...Nope..
No power lines there.
It looked like a heart on Valentine's Day.
Mostly it looks like a puppy.
Use your imagination and picture 2 big brown eyes
and a black button nose!!
Until Next Time
A merry heart does good, like medicine,
But a broken spirit dries the bones.
Proverbs 17:22
May the Lord bless you with a merry heart.
