Faith Filled Friday
God Himself gives us the definition of Faith:
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1
Did y0u know that Hebrews is known as
The Hall of Faith ?
You can review the heroes of faith in Hebrews...
heroes like Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and others.
By Faith:
Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain...
Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death...
Noah, being divinely warned of things not seen, moved with Godly fear...
Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which
he would receive as an inheritance...
Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac..
Abraham dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country...
Sarah received strength to conceive...
Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come...
Jacob, when dying blessed each of the sons of Joseph...
Joseph, when he way dying, made mention of the departure
of the children of Israel...
Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents...
Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called
the son of Pharaoh's daughter...
There's the faith of Rahab, Barak, Samson, Jephthah,
David and Samuel.
When we sometimes feel that lack of faith, we need to just
pick up our Bible and study any one of these Heroes of Faith.
Surely our faith will be renewed!!
I love verse 13...
These all died in faith, not having seen them afar off were
assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they
were the strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
Faith is the victory that overcomes the world and without
faith it is impossible to please God.
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world.
And this is the victory that has overcome the world -
our faith.
1 John 5:4
But without faith it is impossible to please Him,
for he who comes to God must believe that He is,
and that He is a rewarder of those who
diligently seek Him.
Hebrews 11:6

"Faith, mighty faith, the promise sees, and looks to
God alone; laughs at impossibilities,
and cries it shall be done."
