Spiritual Confetti

Today's inspiration came from a little chocolate brown
and pink book titled, 'Laughter and Latte.'

I knew I was going to focus on this book for
Pink Saturday and was trying to think of something
to use with it.   Flashback..I remembered this
cute plate and cup!!  I just couldn't remember where
they were.  ~sigh~ After digging through storage boxes
and going through all my cabinets I finally found them.
~delighted~

Yes, dear blogger friends, those are chocolate
covered cherries!!!

AND
Yes, I am going to eat them!
Yummy

Sharing from page 43, this is by Nicole Johnson.

Spiritual Confetti
I love throwing things up in the air.  At weddings or on
New Year's Eve, everybody wants something in their hands
to throw.  It's a way of lavishing our love on people.  Confetti is a
tangible expression of intangible emotions.  No celebration is
complete without it.

Taking the time to gather little pieces of love, grace, strength,
and hope is worth it when you shower your friendships with them.
Spiritual confetti!  It's the ultimate encouragement....

Encouragement is to a friendship what confetti is to a party.
It's light, refreshing, and fun, and you always end up finding
little pieces of it stuck on you later

I Just Have to Share!

Went to the mailbox the other morning and look what was there!

I was delighted, what a precious gift/prize!
Did you notice the little HOPE key?
How wonderful is that?!
A reminder of our Hope in Christ Jesus!

And my favorite (from many favorites) scripture.
A 'so special' gift from a 'so special' friend.

Thank You Deb!
Deb had a give-away to celebrate her blog anniversary.
I didn't get first place but I was a runner up....
and for that she sent this special gift.  Awesome!
You can visit Deb @  Jeremiah 29:11

I would love for you to stop by

Love of Family

Shortly after my retirement in 1996 I found my
way to Genealogy.   I spent several years researching
my family and putting together a book of family history
and family pictures.  Mr D and I traveled around Texas
looking for old family cemetaries, some were too overgrown
for us to see the headstones.  We always had the weed eater
with us and we had to use it many times.

While doing all this research I found this poem:

If you could see your ancestors all standing in a row,
There might be some of them, perhaps,
You wouldn't want to know.
But here's another question
Which requires another view:
If you could meet your ancestors,
Would they be proud of you?

The love of family makes life beautiful.

I love my family, this is all of us except..
(there always has to be an 'except')
for great gdaughter, Madison, who was with her Dad.
AND...we have a new great gdaughter since this picture,
Miss Emma...

June Already!

Can you believe it?
June ~ didn't we just have Christmas?

As I'm setting here this morning with this good
ol' hot brew I have my grandkids on my mine.
School is out and they're ready for a wonderful summer!
Teen-agers and big plans.

One daughter and her family are leaving today for
a week cruise, goodness what a way to start the summer!

Another daughter and her family are in San Antonio
lapping up all the fun things there.  Then later this summer
they're off to Wyoming to stay at their cabin right outside
Yellowstone Park.  Those lucky dogs...haha

Well just thinking about all that activity is making me tired.
Besides, I'm retired, I'm always on vacation.
I take my daily trip to my desk and BLOG...
