Thank You Patsy Clairmont

There are so many Godly Women, many I know personally and many I only know through their books, teachings and other forms of media.  One such lady is Patsy Clairmont.  She is so funny, and warm and friendly,  you can't help but feel like you know her on a personal level.   She radiates God's love in her life and it spills out all over you!

From Patsy...

I turn to the Word of God to remind myself who God is and who He longs to be in our lives.  He longs to give us what we cannot drum up for ourselves; courage beyond our capacity; to give us peace, to give us a quietness of heart, to give us wisdom, to give us the proper types of responses in the appropriate situations.  There is nothing wrong with being a little knee-knocking uneasy.  Many times life brings us things that will cause that type of reaction.  It's when fear begins to paralyze us that it becomes inappropriate and unhelpful and truly unnecessary.  And so I go into the Word of God to remind myself who God is and who He longs to be in my life.

Thank You Patsy Clairmont, you always know the right thing to say!

Laughter

Laughter is good for the soul!
I love funny things, they make me feel good!

Sense of humor; God's great gift
causes spirits to uplift,
helps to make our bodies mend;
lightens burdens; cheers a friend;
tickles children; elders grin
at this warmth that glows within;
surely in the great hereafter
heaven must be full of laughter!

Our mouths were filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy.
Psalm 126:2 NIV

Until Next Time,

Have a laughing good week-end!!

When a Child of God Prays

The center of power is not to be found in summit meetings or in peace conferences.  It is not in Peking or Washington or the United Nations, but rather where a child of God prays in the power of the Spirit for God's will to be done in her life, in her home, and in the world around her.

Your kingdom come,
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Matthew 6:10

August Already!

Here it is August and hurricane season is at it's peak.  I'm always alert to the local weather and watch the Atlantic closely.   It is always my prayer that God calms the storms!

I'm really tired of summer!  I know for many of you August means autumn is just around the corner.  Not so for us here on the Texas coast.  The calendar might say September and October but we don't usually see cool weather until early November.  I'm always waiting and excited for the first cold front.

The one thing I do love about summer is all the birthdays celebrated in my family.   Eight of us have summer birthday's!   Most of the time there is a party of some sort, although the teens are hard to corral.  They now have their own agenda!

This is Travis my youngest grandchild.  Hard to believe he turned 14 yesterday!  Time just moves too fast.  Happy Birthday Trav...Granny and Paw love you!

I have been taking part in a wonderful Bible study on Jeremiah 29:11.  It has been so awesome to once a week join wonderful blogging friends for this study.  Cindy did a great job leading us and I'm looking forward to her next online class with enthusiasm.   I know God was with her and guiding her, I was so blessed by her teaching.  Thanks Cindy!!

Have you noticed all the pictures with all the pretty reds?
That's because it's
REDNESDAY!

I'm linking with Sue for her Rednesday Party !!
Come on over!!

Have a wonderful day, Mr D. and I are going to
Chick Fil-A and enjoy a chicken sandwich!

Until Next Time,

I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust."

I'm on the Porch

Time to go visit Patrice and Wendell, they're waiting on the porch!
(Well, Wendell probably isn't on the porch but he'll be close by!)

This week's questions:

Do you have any special plans for this fall?

Not really, I am looking forward to fall just because of the cooler weather.
Of course Thanksgiving is always wonderful with lots of family!

Do you collect anything?

I used to be a collecting maniac!  I collected old doilies, geese, pottery and angels.  Now that we downsized our home I just don't have room to 'collect'.   It was very hard to stop, but I still have plenty to enjoy.

Have you done any canning or freezing this season?

Fresh veggies from the garden are the best.  Unfortunately I live where there isn't much farming, so I don't do a lot of canning.  I did put up a couple of quarts of green tomatoes a few weeks ago.  They are so good, I love them.  Mr D, not so much, that's okay cause that makes more for me!

Do you have a friend who lives far away? Where do they live?

I've been very blessed that all my children and their families and my closest friends live close.
BUT....I have made several close blogging friends and they are scattered from Australia to England to cities and towns throughout the USA.  I enjoy my blogging sisters so much!

When in a store, restaurant, or other business, do you ever complain or praise to the management?

Not too much, if the service or quality of a product is VERY good or VERY bad, I do voice it to the proper person in charge.

Patrice and Wendell, once again it's been a great visit on the porch!
Thanks for inviting me over.

Until Next Time,

A man's heart plans his way,
But the Lord directs his steps.

    loosewomenonline ~ WHAT?

First of all, let me say,
    Happy Blue Monday!

I'm joining Sally for her Blue Monday Party!

Now, let's get down to the nitty gritty...
    I HAVE BEEN HACKED!

    YES, I HAVE....grrrrrr

I've sent out email, I've posted it on facebook and now I'm telling all of you!
It really makes me angry, not only did they steal the addresses of my good friends, they are sending out 'smut.'   Some are getting downloads for 'loosewomenonline.'

I know in the overall scheme of life this is just a ripple, but it is very disturbing.

Okay, now that I've vented, let's look at some pretty blues!

awwww....nothing like a little blue and white to calm the nerves.

Being hacked really 'rocked my boat.'
But Satan will not still my JOY because....

Jesus love me this I know,
For the Bible tells me so...

    Until Next Time

    The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is a personal guide who constantly draws our thoughts and hearts more in line with God's plans.  All of the fullness and power and greatness and character of God the Father rest in the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit serves as a constant source of companionship and guidance in our lives.  He reveals the mind of God to each of us continously.

But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit.  For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
    1 Corinthians 2:10

The Holy Spirit relays God's messages to our hearts, whispering God's wisdom into our spiritual ears, guiding us on our life's journey.

God wants us to hear, recognize, and obey His voice today.  His voice is the Holy Spirit.

Hope each of you have a wonderful Lord's Day.
