Hello September

I am so happy to see September arrive, for me it means the end of a long, hot summer is in sight.

September comes with the best of cheer,
saying, "so long summer, I'll see you next year."

The flowers are tired, they've struggled with the heat,
good by summer, it's time for us to sleep.

A little 'bling' for September !

September days have the warmth of summer in briefer hours, and in the lengthening of evenings there is a breath of autumn.

Until Next Time

Please remember to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem;
May they prosper who love you.

A Message of Hope

Everything that is done in the world is done by hope.
Martin Luther

As long as we have hope, we have direction, the energy to move, and the map to move by.  We have a hundred alternatives, a thousand paths, and an infinity of dreams.  Hopeful, we are halfway to where we want to go; hopeless, we are lost forever.

Confidence in the love of God envelops us with the fragrance of faith, hope, and love.
Sandy Clough

Hope sees the invisible, feels the intangible, and achieves the impossible.

When the world says, "Give up," Hope whispers, "Try it one more time."

Where does this awesome thing called HOPE come from....

My soul, wait only upon God and silently submit to Him; for my hope and expectation are from Him.
Psalm 62:5

For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.
Jeremiah 29:11

>>♥<<         >>♥<<          >>♥<<

God has a plan for each of us, a plan that should give us great hope for our future.  It is our destiny.  But that plan is a possibility, not a positively.  We have to participate in that plan for it to come true.  His plan is a good plan, an uncommon plan, a great plan, it is not an average, mediocre plan.  We need to seek that plan and cooperate with God so that it will be wonderfully fulfilled in our life.
Hope is from God, Hope is through His plan for each of us.

Momma and Daddy

Today is the day for something vintage.

The little boy in this vintage picture is my Daddy.
He was born in 1908 and the Lord took him home in 2000.
I miss him everyday.

The little girl in this vintage picture is my Mother.
She was about 3 years old when this was taken, her grandmother put the picture in this frame, where it has stayed for all these years.  I will never try to remove it because I am afraid of what it might do to the picture.  Mother was born in 1914, she will be 98 years old in October.  We took her out to eat last week-end and she ate as much as the rest of us.  You just can't get a good girl down !!

Red and White

I love the crispness of red and white !!

The colors are so happy together ;- )

I took these pictures outside this morning.  The sun was
shining, there was a breeze blowing, Bitsy was running in the yard chasing whatever...It felt good, I felt happy!

Bitsy is such a cutie patootie..
She loves to play outside, as long as I'm outside with her.
Ever so often she will look toward the patio to see if I'm still there!

It's been a great morning at my house, a wonderful start for a wonderful day.   I pray your day is wonderful and blessed!

This is the day the Lord has made;
We will rejoice and be glad in it.

Time for some Chatter

Visiting Everyday Ruralty
and

The questions of the week are.....

What's the last thing you baked?
I baked a chicken and it was so good!!  I added a little Tony Chachere's to my regular seasonings, it adds a little 'zing' to the flavor.

What's your favorite thing about fall?
Definitely cool weather.  I am already counting the days.  Where I live it's still gonna be a while, but I know it's coming!!  WooHoo

What's your favorite room in your home?
I loved the sewing/craft room I had in my old home.  Since we downsized a few years ago, I now sew in my bedroom.  It's not so bad because I don't sew as much as I used to.

Who handles bill paying in your house?
I do and I hate it.  I think that just about says it all. :~(

Tell whatever you'd like to share with our chatting friends.
LDDG                    ME
This is a picture of me and my BFF of years ago.
Life took us in separate directions but every few years we've managed to be in touch. In recent years we have lunch several times during the year and it's great.  I treasure her friendship and always look forward to seeing her.

Thank you Patrice, for inviting me to your porch!!

Scrapbook Journal

It's a Mellow Yellow Blue Monday !!

Do you journal?.....or do you scrapbook?
I do both in one....today I'm sharing a few pages of my
Scrapbook Journal....that just happens to be blue and yellow!

Perfect for
and

I know for some, keeping a journal is like keeping a diary.
I've never been one to keep a diary, but I've always saved bits and pieces of things I love, including articles, special stories, tidbits of this and that.  I decided to scrapbook all of these things and write my thoughts about them.  So I became a scrapbook journaler!

Sorry about the glare, I am not the best 'picture taker.'

This is one of my favorite pages because I love that picture!!

I would love to share all the pages with you but that would be a bit much.

This page doesn't have a lot of decorations, a lot of my pages don't...I wanted to share this one because of the prayer.  When I first read it I chuckled, thought it was cute, then I read it again and I thought, that is so true.  Let me happy and not grouchy!

Just in case it's hard to read in the picture...

Dear Lord,
Help me to keep laughing as I age, help me to take the inner change seriously.  I truly want to grow older and Godlier, not older and grouchier.
In Jesus Precious Name,
Amen

There is hope in your future, says the Lord.

The Family Bible

I am so thankful to be a Child of God.

Below is a picture of the Family Bible we purchased soon after we married, almost 50 years ago.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17

"Inspiration" means "breathed" by God.  Each word written was given by the Holy Spirit.  It does not say, part of the Scripture, it says ALL Scripture is inspired by God through the Holy Spirit.  Each and every word was influenced and overshadowed by God, even to the punctuations.  Perfection chosen by God to convey His truths.  There is no error, it is the complete and accurate Word of God.

The Bible was given to record doctrine, it was given for reproof, a means to rebuke error.  It was given for correction, to show those who err where they went wrong and to show them truth.  It was given for instruction or training in righteousness, guiding believers toward godly living.

It is God's words of encouragement, hope and love.  It is a place to feel His arms around you.  I go there for rest, peace and rejuvenation.  In His Word is a wonderful place to be.

God breathed through the Holy Spirit and what was written is actual, it's historically and scientifically correct.

Have a wonderful Lord's Day!
And
Stay in the Word!

Until Next Time
