Blessings and Prayer

I have always felt it such a privilege and honor to approach our Lord in prayer.  How wonderful that He extends that invitation to us 24/7 !  It is one of my greatest blessing to know I go to Him in prayer with all my request, with all my thankfulness, with all my praise, with all that I am ~ and He hears me!  He calls me to prayer often, it is not unusual to be somewhere, or nowhere, and see a situation or a person and feel the Holy Spirit calling me to approach the throne in intercession.  I can't tell you how humbly that is for me and I will never understand why He puts these things on my heart.  I certainly don't feel worthy, and then, I certainly feel loved from above.

Blessed

God has also blessed me with four wonderful children, each one all grown up and walking their own life's path.  I draw a lot of strength from them, isn't that something?  I remember when I was their strength ~ I think I still am ~ I pray I still am.

I was so blessed recently when two of my daughters asked me for special prayer on the same day.  Two different personalities, two different situations and they felt it on their heart to ask me for prayer.  I felt humbled and I felt blessed.

Would you like to meet them?

Great!!!

This is my youngest daughter, Peggy. She walks very close to God and I feel blessed that she asked me to pray for a situation she has in her life right now.

This is Tammy, not only a great daughter but a great friend! Tammy also walks close with God and has an issue coming her way that needs prayer. I felt so blessed when she asked me to pray for her.

And this is my oldest daughter, Tracey. Without a doubt, the sweetest woman I've ever known. She is such a blessing to our family.

Thankful

So, dear friends, today I am thankful for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ....

I am thankful that He has chosen me for intercessory prayer...

I am thankful that He blessed me with three precious daughters to fill a void in my life of not having a sister...

I am thankful and honored and blessed to be called on by these wonderful girls for prayer.

Went Fishing and Caught Four Deer!

I received this in an email today and I was amazed!
Just had to share with all of you.

A once in the history of mankind kind of thing.
The Best Day Of Fishing Ever!
Some fishing stories are a little hard to believe, but this guy has pictures to prove his story...
I've heard of salmon jumping into boats, but never anything quite like this...
Tom Satre told the Sitka Gazette that he was out with a charter group on his 62-foot fishing vessel
when four juvenile black-tailed deer swam directly toward his boat.

"Once the deer reached the boat, the four began to circle the boat, looking directly at us. We could tell right away that the young bucks were distressed. I opened up my back gate and we
helped the typically skittish and absolutely wild animals onto the boat.
In all my years fishing, I've never seen anything quite like it!  Once on board, they collapsed with exhaustion, shivering."

This is a picture I took of the rescued bucks on the back of my boat, the Alaska Quest. We headed for Taku Harbour .  Once we reached the dock, the first buck that we had been
pulled from the water hopped onto the dock, looked back as if to say 'thank you' and disappeared into the forest.  After a bit of prodding and assistance, two more followed, but the smallest deer needed a little more help.

This is me carrying the little guy.

My daughter, Anna, and son, Tim, helped the last buck to its feet. We didn't know how long they had been in the icy waters or if there had been others who did not survive.
My daughter later told me that the experience was something that she would never forget, and I suspect the deer felt the same way as well!"

I told you! Awesome... huh?

I saw the Lord in this story, didn't you?

Morning Glories

In late summer the morning glories were not doing well so Mr D cut them back to the ground.   I wasn't really looking for any new growth until next spring.  A few weeks ago I noticed this tiny sprout shooting up and trying to catch hold of the trellis.  I still was not expecting any major growth this time of year.  The morning glories have certainly proved me wrong.  This morning the blooms are many and the pictures do not do justice to this beautiful plant.

There's not much room between the trellis and side fence so getting a good picture was difficult.

BTW, my trellis is a section of pre-made fencing for a deck.  Mr D came up with that idea, this trellis is very sturdy and will be around for a long time!

God gave us so much natural beauty to look at and to enjoy,
He is my favorite artist!!

Angels are Everywhere

Quotes from
The Angels' Little Instruction Book
by: Eileen Elias Freeman

When babies look beyond you and giggle, maybe they're seeing angels.

Angels shine from without because their spirits are lit from within by the light of God.

Whether we are filled with joy or grief, our angels are close to us, speaking to our hearts of God's love.
