The First Christmas Carol...

was sung by Angels !

Before the heavenly choir arrived, a single angel of the Lord appeared in the sky and hovered above a group of frightened shepherds who were guarding their flocks in the cool night air.

However, it was not just the angel that surprised the shepherds ~ suddenly midnight was turned into midday.  "The glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified" (Luke 2:9).

The angel spoke to them, telling them not to be afraid but to receive with great joy the news they were hearing:

"Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is
Christ the Lord"
Luke 2:11

Let's Pretend...

That the lace is snow and the partridge is a snowbird.

We're pretending because where I live it's 80degrees
and my A/C is running!

We did have snowfall on Christmas Eve a few years ago.
It was beautiful and very, very rare for the Gulf coast of Texas.

Hey little snowbird, I love your Santa hat!!

That is the neatest little feature I found at

Until next time please know...

God came to us because He wanted to join us on the road, to listen to our story...
This is the great mystery of Christmas that continues to give us comfort and consolation:
we are not alone on our journey.
