A Special Word for 2013

Like many of you I love to chose a special word for the year.  A word that might hold a special meaning for my life.  I have had several in my mind but God has had a few in His too.  Oh, He is persistent!  I have struggled with Him because I didn't want to chose these words, not now, not yet.  God knows best and I know that, so with much love in my heart I have chosen His words for my life.

 

 

Simple, yet meaningful and very necessary.

 

 

 

Forgive - an action word, something you do.

Forgiveness - an act, something that has been done.

 

I have struggled for many years with someone very close to me, and there are many bitter memories.  I would love to see this situation healed.  I have given forgiveness, I thought, obviously not because the wound still festers.  This is why God kept putting these words on my heart.  Thank You Lord.

 

My journey this year, with God's help and guidance is to act (forgive) and have closure (forgiveness).

A Red Vignette

It is so good to be back to Rednesday!

 

 

I was in Hobby Lobby before Christmas and saw this Rooster Plate and just couldn't resist.  I had told myself no more dishes, but it was 50% off!  ~sigh~

I just have to share this devotion with you.

New Year!

Peace

My special word for 2012 was 'peace.'

 

I saw this on facebook this morning and thought it was a great picture for my last 'Peace Post.'

 

 

Jesus has certainly given me peace many times.

Even today there is a situation that has brought turmoil

to my life, but through it all I feel His peace with me.

 

 

I haven't chosen my special word for 2013.

I have a couple in mind, but still haven't felt that

feeling of  'this is it, this is the special word.'

 

 

It will come in due time.
