All to Jesus

Today I'm joining Barbie @ Week-end Brew.
She has a wonderful message today about surrender, something that we sometimes find hard to do.  You will be truly blessed by this devotion ~ just click on the link!

As I was reading the message, the words to this wonderful old hymn kept going through my mind.

All to Jesus I surrender
All to Him I freely give.
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.

I surrender all,
I surrender all,
All to thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

I went over to You Tube and found an updated version by Amy Grant.
Just click on the link, hope you will be blessed.

"So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple."
Luke 14:33

Many people want to serve God, but only as advisers.

Believe

Believe

..if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him for the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:9-10

The Word each day,
will keep Satan away.

Thank You Lord for this Yukky Day

I love yukky days, as long as there aren't too many in a row!!  Yukky days are good days for hot chocolate, a good book or movie and snuggling in a cozy afghan!

Festive mugs to hold hot chocolate and brighten this yukky day just a little.

I only keep two mugs set out but there are more in the cabinet for whoever might stop by for a visit.

The rain is hitting the windows and the house is cozy with lamp light.

Lord, Thank You for a wonderful, yukky day.

New Growth

I water my ivies once a week.  When I watered last week I added some of this...

I have used this fertilizer for years and it always performs!

See the new growth just since last week!

This little ivy is covered in newness.

Awesome.

You know, we, people, need new growth.

This is my fertilizer, when read daily it gives new growth in my life.

I grow in faith, hope, love, mercy, compassion, peace...
the list goes on and on.

Let's not forget when we feed our bodies, that we need to also feed our spirit.

Dosage, one scripture (or more) daily for life!!

But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'"
Matthew 4:4

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, the the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
