Wednesday's Wisdom:
You can't always pick your battles,
or your enemies, but you can always
choose your weapon!  I encourage
you to choose PRAISE.  Praise ushers
in His presence.  Let praise be
your weapon, because it
switches the focus from the fight
and the enemy, and it directs
it toward God!  Ultimately, we
are not just praising because
we want to win, but because
God alone is truly
Worthy of our Praise!

We've been having springtime weather, which means I've been able to do some porch sitting.  It's been so nice outside, with my Kindle in hand, and the dogs by my side, we've been enjoying some very pleasant afternoons.

We lost several of our plants because of the Texas Snow Storm we had a few weeks ago so Mr D has been replacing with new plants, and he has repotted some of the plants that didn't freeze.

He's pruned and cleaned, and he has everything really looking nice.

Until Next Time

  2. Hi Mary. I know when I praise God, it improves my mood. Lifts my spirit. He is worthy to be praised. Music helps also! Our spring-like weather is heavenly. Isn't it nice.
    Blessings,

  3. I did my first porch sitting of the year today and even had a little picnic with the grands. It's wonderful, but mid-March is far to early for winter to be done with us here in PA.

  4. So glad you are able to do some porch sitting. We seem to have jumped right into summer and the porch gets hot too soon if I don't get out there early. I need to time it better. I am so glad Mr. D. is taking care of your plants and getting them replaced, etc. Now is the time. I am looking for some new plants to plant this spring. I try to add something new each spring. Enjoy your beautiful days...and yes, show us some pictures!! xoxo

  6. I wonder which of your plants you lost due to the bad weather. I think we'd all like to see the replacements that Mr.D so kindly repotted.

    1. One of the plants was a Pencil Cactus. My granddaughter gave me a cutting from her plant last spring and it really grew well for me last summer.

  8. I am sure you will get your porch looking really nice again. I want to plant some flowers in the front yard. I really like pansies, but I want something that will last through the summer. Enjoy the rest of your week!

  9. I'm so excited to see signs of spring here now! I just bought a new porch chair so that I can sit outside more now that the weather is nice. It sure is true that we can't always pick our battles but even if we lose a few, we know that we win the war!

  16. Thank goodness. Thank the Lord. I have been so so so concerned about you. I have lost over 15 people in the past 16-17 months...it has been heart breaking. I have to wonder if one day, when some of these bloggers are elderly, they look back on this time and wish they had been less whiny and more willing to protect the elderly. Take care of yourself please please. Prayers.
