Saturday Snippets

🌸Enjoyed time on the porch reading Saved By an Angel.

🌸Did some rearranging in the hutch, it's getting crowded in there.

🌸A little ride through Fairmont Park, our old neighborhood, lot's of memories.

🌸Back on the porch for afternoon coffee.

🌸Read today's verses from the Chronological Bible Plan.

🌸A lot of little things squeezed in along the way.

🌸And my day is done, I'm going to turn on the TV and hope I find something worth watching.

Hope you're enjoying your Saturday!

Until Next Time

Our God is an awesome God,
He reigns from heaven above,
 with wisdom, power and love,
Our God is an Awesome God.

  1. Sigh, I so understand about the hutch issue, smiles. Wishing you a beautiful day my friend.

  2. Yes, even with a glass door front, those things in the hutch need attention now and then. Thanks (loads, sigh) for the reminder!! Happy weekend, Mary!! xo

  3. Oh, I should do some cleaning of my things in the china closet and curio cabinet. Dust has a way of seeping in around the doors. And yes, I have TOO MUCH STUFF. Oh, we took a ride by our old house in Salt Springs this morning...it sure has changed since we were there. Sometimes it's better to let those memories stay the way we remember them rather than see all the changes that we don't like. But I remind myself...it's not my house anymore, and this world is not my home, I'm just a passing through...
Hope you are enjoying the rest of your Saturday afternoon. It's been raining here again! Praise the Lord!!

  4. Hi Mary, seems as if you had a very pleasant Saturday. Visiting old haunts always brings back memories. I've had a nice Saturday, too. Let's hope the rain stops for you.

  5. Beautiful photo, dear Mary! I also love your blog header. Here in Montreal yesterday we got a lot of rain, today is sunny and comfortable temperatures.

  6. Hi Mary, I am afraid to look in my hutch! I will be passing some teapots to my granddaughters and tea cups too. I get a bit sad when I think about my last two homes. Downsizing is hard, but we are just passing through. The Lord has met all my needs. Happy Sunday!

  9. I, too, need to think whether some contents of our hutch/china cabinet deserve staying. There are pieces just collecting dust that might brighten someone else's day.

  11. Oh...I really need to tackle My "hutch", cabinets with all the glassware from my family! What do you do with it all when your children don't want it but it means something to You? And I don't blame them...it means nothing to them...they don't have the base memories from them. It's not fun!

  12. That sounds like a lovely day. When we moved from our house in Spokane into the camper for a year I got rid of lots of knick knacks like in my china hutch. We had planned to travel to all of the national parks for five years before settling back down. Mom having dementia changed all of those plans and we ended up moving Omaha instead to take care of her. Meanwhile, I had gotten rid of most of our furniture and small things. Everything we owned fit in a single garage size storage unit. Not much at all. Do you know we didn't miss most of it. But we seem to be collecting things again. How does that happen?
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy
