~~The Best Part of Waking Up~~
Well hello again! I am so glad you stopped by and I do hope you are here to join in for Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4, hosted by Annie!
The commercial song said "the best part of waking up in Folger's in your cup".
1. What is in your cup in the morning?
2. What brand of coffee or tea is the best in your opinion and why do you think so?
We like Folgers 1/2 caffeine.
I have several places where I enjoy my morning coffee, I like to sit at the kitchen table and enjoy the big window there, I sometimes like to sit on the porch and be outside for a while, and I sometimes sit at my desk and just do stuff! Each morning is a new day and a new mood!
4.Besides the morning, do you take little tea or coffee breaks during the day? If you are out and about where is your favorite place to get some tea or coffee?
The only time we have coffee out is when we go to breakfast, and that's not often. When we go there are two places we choose from, Denney's or Waffle House. Denney's coffee is terrible, I really have to doctor it up with sugar and cream, I normally drink my coffee black and hot. But they serve a great breakfast. Waffle House has good coffee, I enjoy theirs the most. Then we sometimes will go into Pasadena and enjoy an IHOP breakfast. They let me buy a couple of mugs with their logo♥
Mr D and I both like a cup of coffee in the afternoon. Usually after we eat a late lunch, we'll have coffee with our dessert or sometimes we sit on the porch and enjoy our coffee with some good conversation
As for myself, I'll drink a cup of coffee anytime, anywhere!

Blessings to All
Until Next Time
Your signature is so cute! I got used to coffee as an adult when I had Lyme and found staying awake hard.. I could fall asleep anytime, anyplace. The caffeine didn't help though as I could even sleep through that. I think sitting on the porch would be wonderful for drinking coffee. Years ago my mother in law, a Miami native installed outdoor ceiling fans on her porch to beat the heat and she would sit there with her coffee in the sauna room heat! She was amazing and tough!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in Miss Mary!
I would love to put a ceiling fan on the porch, right now I use an oscillating fan. It works well! Hope you're enjoying a wonderful day. BTW, your MIL sounds like my kinda lady. :-)
DeleteCoffee late in the day does tend to keep me awake when I go to bed. Chocolate can do the same. My parents could (and did) drink coffee all day long and after dinner. It is always good to see a post from you!! xo
ReplyDeleteI have sleep issues, and I purposely went with any coffee to see if it would make a difference, it didn't. So I just keep on drinking! Coffee that is. :-) Sending a ((hug)) across the miles, hope your day is happy and blessed.
ReplyDeleteoops.....went without any coffee. JSMH
DeleteI enjoyed your answers Mary. Yes, to coffee with dessert. It's a must. It's a good thing coffee doesn't seem to keep some of us awake at night. Have a wonderful evening.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a good thing for sure. Hope your day is happy and blessed☺♥
DeleteCoffee...when I wake up in the morning, and it's too early to get up, if I so much as THINK of coffee, it's time to get up. That first sip of that first morning cup, ahhh...I can drink it black, but love it with heavy cream. No sweeteners for me, ever. I can drink it pretty late in the day and still sleep, but sometimes when I have to much it's hard to stay asleep, but shh, it might still be worth it. The coffee at diners is usually what we call Crappy Diner Coffee, but hey, when someone's refilling your cup, it's not too shabby! Have a good day!
ReplyDelete"Crappy Diner Coffee" is such a good description, it made me laugh. Sometimes I wake up much too early to get up, but if I get to thinking about a hot cuppa coffee it's hard to stay in bed. lol Hope you're enjoying a good day.
DeleteI drink milk!! :)
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I love milk too, a very tall glass of very cold milk is very refreshing. :-)
DeleteI'm a coffee hound, as well! While I don't patronize Starbucks' brick-and-mortar stores, I do love their k-cups -- French Roast or Sumatra, both dark and bold. We've not been to IHOP in a long time, but you're right. Their coffee rocks!
ReplyDeletePS - My best friend gifted me a case of Califia cold brew for my birthday and I was pleasantly surprised.
Starbucks is so popular here, I tried them once and never went back. Just not for me. I really prefer my coffee at home. WoW, you bff did good, enjoy your brew!
DeleteI'm a coffee drinker too....my 12 oz mug gets refilled a few times in the course of a day. My Granddaughter Kate just bought a Keurig that also makes ice coffee. I don't think I'd enjoy my coffee cold.
ReplyDeleteCold coffee isn't for me either! Like you, I can drink coffee all through the day. In fact, we also have a 2 cup coffee maker so I can have coffee when the mood strikes me without having to brew a big pot.
DeleteI usually have a cup of milk in the mornings. I don't drink coffee at all. I love the smell of it brewing and in the can, but have never liked the taste. I do drink tea, hot and iced. My favorite is diet pepsi even though I know it's not good for me so I've been trying to drink more water like my daughter keeps telling me to.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
I know I need to drink more water, it's just something I can't seem to do. {{sigh}} Blessings and hugs back to you dear Betsy☺♥
DeleteI'm a tea drinker and drink it anywhere, anytime as well. If you're in a hurry don't offer me a cup :)
ReplyDeleteI'm the same with my coffee!! It's okay, tea or coffee, let's sit and visit a while! ☺♥
DeleteI liked hearing your story with coffee and tea. I am normally a tea drinker but I do love iced coffee in the warm weather. Folgers will forever remind me of my mom. I am glad you are here. Thanks for sharing. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to a Denny's in ages but occasionally go to IHOP. I'm not really picky with my coffee and usually get what is on sale. I only allow myself one cup a day so if I go out and I know I'm getting coffee, I forgo my morning coffee.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
