Monday Coffee Talk

 5/26

Here it is, the first Monday of February, time just keeps marching on.

February, be good to me,

Many blessings I’d like to see.

Let blessings bloom like winter’s rose,

Small and sweet, in hidden rows.

The calendar page has been turned . . . a reminder to get out the checkbook and pay the bills.  Not much fun but somebody has to do it.  Just sayin'.  It's also means just a another 2 flips of the calendar and spring time will be upon us.  Hello  porch swing.

I don't want to get ahead of myself, let's get back into February, the month of love.๐Ÿ’–

February, be gentle, please,

Wrap my days in quiet peace.

Guide my steps with heaven’s light—

Morning mercy, stars at night.

February is birthday month for me and for sweet great‑grand Ava. Two generations, two candles, and one grateful heart. It's also Tammy and Bo's anniversary month.

Ava, taken Christmas 2025

Did you know that February is the only month that can pass without a full moon—a rare little quirk that makes it feel extra special. Still, it's hard to think of the month of love without a full moon.

And as each day unfolds its grace,

May God’s love fill every space.

May many hearts fall from above

Sending down His abounding love.

“Here’s to February—short, sweet, and full of hearts!

February—may your short days be filled with long moments of grace, warm cups of comfort, and little reminders that God is nearer than the winter air. May we walk through this cozy month wrapped in His kindness.

Mr D and I are off to the eye doctor this morning.  Time for new glasses so we can see better! :)

Until Next Time

  2. I didn't realize that about the moon - makes sense since it is a short month. My son and his wife were married on Feb 29, 2020. They plan a big vacation every four years. Fun.Happy February!

  6. How lovely to have your birthday in this special month of love. Our 2nd son was born on Valentine's Day (1974). We tend to celebrate that more than with Valentine theme. As long as it includes chocolate๐Ÿ’–
Do you find choosing new glasses difficult?

I really like your poem/prayer, and I just learned something new (about February not always having a full moon).
