Here it is, the first Monday of February, time just keeps marching on.
February, be good to me,
Many blessings I’d like to
see.
Let blessings bloom like
winter’s rose,
Small and sweet, in hidden
rows.
The calendar page has been turned . . . a reminder to get out the checkbook and pay the bills. Not much fun but somebody has to do it. Just sayin'. It's also means just a another 2 flips of the calendar and spring time will be upon us. Hello porch swing.
I don't want to get ahead of myself, let's get back into February, the month of love.๐
February, be gentle,
please,
Wrap my days in quiet peace.
Guide my steps with
heaven’s light—
Morning mercy, stars at
night.
February
is birthday month for me and for sweet great‑grand Ava. Two generations,
two candles, and one grateful heart. It's also Tammy and Bo's anniversary month.

Happy February Mary and happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize that about the moon - makes sense since it is a short month. My son and his wife were married on Feb 29, 2020. They plan a big vacation every four years. Fun.Happy February!
ReplyDeleteI have a friend that was born on the 29th, we tease her about her 'age.'
DeleteHappy Birthday month to you! My birthday was yesterday, the first. Another year is past. Good luck at the eye doctor.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
Sorry I'm late, Happy Birthday !!
DeleteHappy first Monday of February to you, Mary. Hope the eye dr. visit went well. Stay warm. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteDear Mary, Happy February ๐
ReplyDeleteAva is beautiful.
Thank you Linda!
DeleteHow lovely to have your birthday in this special month of love. Our 2nd son was born on Valentine's Day (1974). We tend to celebrate that more than with Valentine theme. As long as it includes chocolate๐
ReplyDeleteDo you find choosing new glasses difficult?
I sure do! I've really been dreading today's appointment for that very reason. Got it done, hope I'm satisfied when they come in.
DeleteThat's interesting about the February moon! Your little verses were so sweet; thank you!
ReplyDeleteI hope your eye appointment didn't include any surprises, and you'll be happy with the new look. (Pictures, please?)
Your Ava is beautiful!
Never really thought about Feb not having a full moon.
ReplyDeleteHappy February ad happy Monday. :)
Happy February, Mary!
ReplyDeleteI really like your poem/prayer, and I just learned something new (about February not always having a full moon).
Hope you and Mr. D have a good eye appointment.
Happy February to you and yours!! Birthdays and anniversaries to celebrate! I see the eye doctor in March. Time for new glasses here, too! Have a blessed month, full of love, laughter, and new specs!! xo
