Just a little Christmas

Just got home from a short shopping trip,
coffee's a brewin' and the Christmas lights are on.

Changing into something comfortable and turning
on some Christmas music.

Coffee's ready and I'm adding my new
favorite creamer, Brown Sugar Maple...
hmmm...good.

Now to relax for a little while and then it will be
time to make some Christmas cookies.
It's a wonderful time of year.

Big brother called me this morning, it was so good to hear
from him.  He lives several hours away and I don't see
him as much as I would like.

I saw a very dear friend while shopping, we haven't seen
each other in a while.  We promised to do lunch soon.

It is the season for friends and family, always so
special this time of year.

Hope you are enjoying the season as much as I am.

Peaceful & Relaxing

Peaceful and Relaxing
A wonderful week-end it was!

We had supper with our daughter and her family.
The house was all Christmasy, just beautiful.
The mantle in all it's finery, a large tree with many, many lights,
just gorgeous, a little Christmas village all aglow.
Most of all, the warmth of a home full of love.

Tracey made gumbo and Tara baked gingerbread cookies for dessert.
After supper coffee and good conversation.
Later the men were in front of the TV eyes glued to football, while
Tracey and I still visited in the kitchen.

There is nothing any better than family fellowship.
I wish I had taken pictures of Tracey's holiday decor,
but I really just didn't think about it.  Too busy
enjoying the things that really matter.

Hugs were given and we left for home,
Mr D took the long way so we could enjoy all
the Christmas lights on display.

When we got home we turned on our Christmas lights.
We don't do as much as years past, we don't have too,
the girls make their homes so pretty we just enjoy theirs!

So glad you stopped by, please come again.

But after he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a
dream, and said, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary
home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

Immanuel

The first time He came as a babe in a manger,
the next time He comes He'll come as the
King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Christmas is the time to remember that Christ not only came,
but he stayed, he lived, he cared.
Christmas is more than one remarkable event.
It was.....the beginning.
