PEACE

I started a new devotional this morning.

40 Days with Jesus

Celebrating His Presence

When I opened the book to Day 1

I was so excited to see the devotion

was about peace..

I was excited because

peace is my

word for the year!!

When I appeared to my disciples after

the resurrection, it was Peace that I

communicated first of all.

I knew this was their deepest need;

to calm their fears and clear

their minds.

                                                            Jesus

I love this...that's what

God's Peace can do...

calm my fears and clear my mind.

Taste and see that the Lord is good;

blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.

Psalm 34:8

Let the peace of Christ rule in your

hearts, since as members of one body

your were called to peace.

And be thankful.

Colossians 3:15

Listen to Me!!

Tune out other voices, so that you can

hear Me more clearly.

I designed you to dwell in Peace all

day, every day.

Draw near to Me;

receive My Peace.

                                                                  Jesus

Mustard Seed

The scripture about the Mustard Seed has always fascinated me.

He replied, "Because you have so little faith.

Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed,

you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and

it will move.  Nothing will be impossible for you."
Matthew 17:20

Do you realize how small a mustard seed is?  And yet, faith that small

can move a mountain.

I know I have faith, I'm sure you do too.

I've seen God work in my life so many times, uncountable times..

I've seen His work in the lives of family and friends.

God Sightings all the time.

And yet, there is more..

comparing my faith, which I think is enormous, to a mustard seed,

I don't have much faith at all.

Oh, what we could do with more faith.

We could move mountains.

And not just physical mountains..

a mountain is any obstacle in our life.

God says we can move it from here to there.

Amen

Oh what we could do with more faith.

I want my faith to be as big as the moon.

WoW.

But you know what?

God says faith the size of a

Mustard Seed is sufficient.

Nothing would be impossible for us.

To Him be the Glory.

Embroidery

God's Embroidery

Many times through the years I have

looked up to my Heavenly Father and

said, "Father, what are you doing?"

He has answered, "I am embroidering

your life."  I say, "But it looks like a mess

to me.  It seems so jumbled.  The threads

seem so dark.  Why can't they all be

bright?"  The Father seems to tell me,

"My child, you are looking from below,

you go about your business of doing

My business, and one day I will bring

you to Heaven and put you on My knee

and you will see the pattern from my side.

God will come through with His plan

for our life.  We just need to do our

part by staying focused on Him and

willing to obey His voice.  He will

prepare us and make us capable

through the Holy Spirit, to fulfill

His calling.  The Almighty has

started a work in us and He will

finish it.

Missions Monday

Are you a missionary?

You don't have to be traveling the globe to be a missionary.

We should be on a mission every time we leave our home.

Anytime you tell someone about Jesus and His

saving grace you are a missionary.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations,

baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son

and of the Holy Spirit, teaching the to observe all

things that I have commanded you;

and lo, I am with you always,

even to the end of the age."

Amen

Matthew 28:20

Prayer Focus

Florida

Kristen Williams is a collegiate missionary serving

the campus of the University of West Florida.  She has

been leading Bible studies with girls from several

sororities on campus and is hosting an

evangelistic outreach event with one of them.

Ask God to send many girls to the event, and pray

their hearts would be open to receive the

Word of Christ.  Pray they would respond to the Word

and sign up for small groups and other events

offered in the coming semester.

God has perfect awareness of all our ways.

He knows all the twists and turns of our journey

through life.  Our free time is very important to

Him - if we release it to Him, He will use it

for His glory!

A Beautiful Life

Sowing Seeds of Scripture

Be careful how you live.  Don't live like fools,

but like those who are wise.

Make the most of every opportunity in these

evil days.  Don't act thoughtlessly,

but understand what the Lord

wants you to do.

Ephesians 5:15-17

This is the beginning of a new day.

I can waste it or use it for good,

but what I do today is important,

because I am exchanging a day of my life for it.

Let your life radiate with uncommon beauty.

Live in deeds, not in years,

in thoughts, not breaths,

in feelings, not in harshness.

Each day is a day the Lord has made and we should

 live each day understanding what he Lord

wants us to do.
