October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same. We have made a lot of progress but still have a long way to go and need your help!

Although you are known the world around

you're firmly anchored with feet on the ground-

a noble bug is how they refer to you,

yet you don't pretend to be anything more

than a ladybug through and through-

a most colorful character well regarded in folklore,

whilst other with loftier aspiration may never receive such admiration...

indeed, could you ask for more? no, you don't put on airs

as you climb a flower so fair nor for the opinion of others

do you even care...you don't stop to think about

those that are bigger, faster, or mightier than you-

you just continue to climb up that wall and many marvel and say

"she is so small..."but the little ladybug pays no mind-

she just does it anyway...a humble little creature of this earth

so satisfied with his turf, a divine inspiration

"to thine own self be true," oh little bug,

Complete and Equipped

 

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

 

Did you notice the words complete and thoroughly equipped?

 

For me it is sometimes hard to feel complete and thoroughly equipped in today's society.  When you are surrounded by the things of this world that are frightening and discouraging, just turn to God's Word where you will find comfort and the power to overcome adversity.

 

Unless we are engaged in daily, deliberate Bible study, God will not be able to transform the way we think or the way we look at life.  It's as simple as that!  We need to get it in our heads and our hearts that God's Word is His personal message to us, telling us how to live in a way that pleases Him.  Only then will we be complete  and thoroughly equipped for our life's journey.
