Long Ago and Far Away

I left my job at the bank in early October, 1996.

I believe it was one of the best days of my life.

I was jumping for joy because I was so ready to retire.

 

It was on a Friday and the week-end was pretty much normal.  But oh my, Monday morning came and it was wonderful. 

WooHoo, I was retired!

I had a doctor's appointment that morning. It was so nice not to have the burden of 'hurry up I've got to get to work.' After my appointment I stopped for a relaxing lunch and then rented a couple of movies. 
 ~ ahhh sweet retirement! ~ sigh ~

 

 

 

~And~

 

 

Settled in Mr D's big overstuffed recliner, with a bowl of popcorn and a large coke, I watched two of the best movies I had ever seen.  They were even better because I didn't have to go to work the next day!

 

And then the real fun began....

Halloween just around the corner.....

Sewing machine calling my name.....

 

 

And I turned 2 grandsons into power rangers by Halloween night !!!
