Happy Face

 It was a gorgeous morning!  I always enjoy my time on the porch each morning while letting the dogbabies play outside.  I love taking in all of God's beauty, the clouds, the birds flying here and there, gathering their breakfast and I love watching my plants, still blooming but beginning to look tired, ready for their winter rest.

This always takes me to my time with the Lord.  We, the Lord and I, have wonderful conversations on my porch.  It's a time to thank Him for all He has provided and a time for me to empty my heart, telling him my deepest hurts and my highest triumphs.  He is such a good listener,  I know He hears my every word because I feel it in my heart.  He comforts my hurts and blesses my victories. I love Him.

At the end of our time this morning I felt Him prompt me to thank the Holy Spirit.  WoW!  I've never thought to do that.  Then I remembered something from a bible study about the Holy Spirit.  How we either forget or don't realize the Holy Spirit is in us, that's where He lives.  He's that voice, that feeling you get sometimes, you know, the one that tells you to go this way or that way.  He's the One who scolds us when we know we do wrong.  He reminds me of my earthly daddy.  Whenever I did something that I should not have done, daddy would always say, "Girl, you better straighten up and fly right."  lol...my daddy was so precious.  The Holy Spirit tells me that too!  With the same love as my daddy.  He's the one that gives us that feeling of peace when we do things right.  Anyway, when you have that feeling about something you're about to do, that's the Holy Spirit guiding you to take the right path.  I love the Holy Spirit.

So, I obeyed God and I spoke directly to the Holy Spirit inside me.  I thanked Him for always being with me, lighting my path so I might see God's will for my life.  It was an amazing moment for me ~ my heart jumped ~ I had the most happy feeling.  I know it was the Holy Spirit within me.  He was so pleased that I remembered Him.

Of course, it led me to song....I love to praise God with music...it touches my heart and I like to think it touches His heart too. It's all for His Glory.

              There's within my heart a melody
Jesus whispers sweet and low:
Fear not, I am with thee,
peace, be still, in all of life's ebb and flow.

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, sweetest name I know,
fills my every longing, keeps me singing as I go.

All my life was wrecked by sin and strife,
discord filled my heart with pain;
Jesus swept across the broken strings,
stirred the slumbering chords again.

Though sometimes he leads through waters deep,
trials fall across the way,
though sometimes the path seems rough and steep,
see his footprints all the way.

Feasting on the riches of his grace,
resting neath his sheltering wing,
always looking on his smiling face,
that is why I shout and sing.

Soon he's coming back to welcome me
far beyond the starry sky;
I shall wing my flight to worlds unknown;
I shall reign with him on high.

Until Next Time..
 I'll be singing His praises!

PS....Robert Morris has an excellent study on the Holy Spirit.

How real friendship with the Holy Spirit can change your life.
