Happy Thanksgiving Week

Thanksgiving is not only about the turkey and the feast that follows, it is a quiet reflection of how God is showering His abundant blessings upon you.  So thank Him with all your heart!

Dear Lord,
Thank You for the miracles
we are much too blind to see,
And give us new awareness
of our many gifts from Thee,
And help us to remember
that the key to life and living
is to make each prayer a prayer of
thanks and everyday Thanksgiving.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.
Philippians 4:6

It used to be considered proper etiquette to send a handwritten thank-you note for every gift you received.  Consider how high a stack of note cards you'd need if you formally thanked God for every gift He's given.  Sending a thank-you via prayer or singing God's praises are the most common ways God's children express their gratitude to Him.

What a beautiful thing, God, to give thanks, to sing an anthem to you, the High God!  To announce your love each daybreak, sing your faithful presence all through the night.
Psalm 92:1

Aren't you glad that God doesn't give you only that which you remember to thank Him for?
