Time to Start the Christmas Season!

Have you recovered from Thanksgiving yet?  I ate too much, I just couldn't resist!  The food was plentiful and yummy and fellowship with family and friends made memories to cherish.

And now it's officially time to start the Christmas Season!  I've even been listening to Christmas Carols!
Hello Alan Jackson, I love to hear you sing!

Wish you were here to enjoy the wonderful aroma of homemade potpourri simmering on the stove. The house smells so good.
I found this easy recipe over at

 2 oranges
2 lemons
cinnamon stix
whole cloves

Put it all in a pan, cover with water, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer.  Add boiling hot water as needed.  This mixture will last a while, just turn the fire off and cover until you're again ready to fill the house with a wonderful smell of the holidays!

I'm anxious to put Thanksgiving away for another year and get the Christmas decorations out to enjoy.  Did I say how much I love this time of year?

Christmas Past
A Christmas Memory from long ago and far away.  Christmas 1995, Mr D and I were so excited when we opened this gift from our children ~ a portrait of all the grandbabies.  We have been blessed with 3 more since this picture was made.  And 6 great grandchildren!

Time marches on and God continues to shower us with blessing after blessing.

Joy to the World,
The Lord is come,
Let earth receive her King.

Until Next Time
Have I mentioned how much I love Christmas!?
