I recently read that Denzel Washington puts his slippers way under his bed so when he gets up in the morning, he must get on his knees to find them. And while he's down there, he starts his day with prayer. I think that's a great idea!
Dear Lord, please bless me with wisdom and understanding. Help me not to aspire to make a living but aspire to make a difference. Lord, thank You for grace and mercy, for love and kindness, for humility and peace that surpasses all understanding, for family and friends that make my life complete. Thank You for your love and guidance that keeps my life on course. Thank You for prosperity and all You have provided. And Lord I thank you for the many blessings yet to come.
Amen
A childhood prayer my Mother taught me long ago.
Thank you for the world so sweet,
Thank you for the food we eat.
Thank you for the birds that sing,
Thank you God for everything.
Amen
Until Next Time
And thank you for the beautiful prayer and inspiration:)
ReplyDeleteI remember that prayer from when I was a little girl, too. I think it was in a little Golden Book that I had! (sweet memory) And, Denzel Washington....there's a little family story concerning him that I'll share with you sometime! ;-) Our daughter just recently told me that he's a Christian! And.....I just did my post for Monday and it's about WISDOM! God is so good to send us affirmation and confirmation.....and precious friends! HOPE you have a great Saturday, Ms. Mary!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful idea...thank you so much for sharing, dearest Mary! I hope your weekend has been lovely so far...?

Thank you Mary for the reminder. And, I might add, what lovely slippers you have, smiles. Blessings
