A Clean Heart

It's a beautiful day in my part of Texas!

Our internet was down for a couple of days and I was lost!  It's amazing how much we use the internet these days.  I don't even keep phone books around here anymore.  Bad on my part because we didn't have a way of looking up the number for AT&T service.  Oh yes we did....the fabulous cell phone to the rescue!

I have a scipture to share with you today and a precious story about my great granddaughter.

I love this plea from King David.  It's my plea too, give me a clean heart O God.

Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.

Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
Then I will teach transgressors yur ways,
and sinners will turn back to you.
Psalm 51:10-13

Now that leads me right to little Emma and her sweet little clean heart!

My daughter, their Gammy, takes my great granddaughters to school in the mornings.  The other morning they were running a little late so their morning prayers were said in the car.  Ava said her prayer and all was well....Emma said her prayer...and here's how things went.

She prayed for Jesus to love all her friends and the 'good' kids at school.  She prayed for other things and then said her sweet 'amen,'  When she finished Gammy told her, "Emma, Jesus loves the 'bad' kids too.  Don't you think He would want you to pray for them?"   After some thought Emma said, "yes" and here's her prayer response.

"Jesus, I'm sorry, I didn't know you liked the bad kids. Please Bless the 'bad' kids too!  Amen"

Precious Children...now I'm sure the 'bad' kids are just the ones that have a hard time settling down each day.  I don't think they are 'bad', but in the eyes of a little one, if you misbehave......???

Emma

Just so ya know....the words in quotations might not be exact.  I tried to write from memory just how Tammy told the story to me.

Until Next Time,
Lovin' Life

  4. Wow...that kind of thinking is common. Bad = unaccepted. But in reality, bad = "Come, all ye who are weary and I will give you rest."
