Christmas Remnants

I do this every year!

I took down Christmas and packed it away...

and then found this...

It'll just stay on the kitchen table until I feel like getting the boxes back down and packing these stragglers away.

Remember I mentioned the other day that I had left my camera at my daughters.  Well, I finally went yesterday and brought that wayward thing home!!  When I uploaded the pictures I found these Christmas prettys.

This poinsettia is huge and gorgeous.  I had ask Mr D if he would go get some Cool Whip.  (yes, it was on my list and I still forgot it.)  When he came home he had four beautiful poinsettia's, one for me and one for each of the girls!

And this pretty picture was taken at Tracey's the night of our family Christmas Party.  It was on the coffee table right in front of me and just screamed, 'Take my picture!'  The poinsettia is the one her Daddy gave her.

I also mentioned the other day that I just might go to Hobby Lobby.  That was on Saturday and I did go to Hobby Lobby.  Oh my....there were so many people in that store!  I think everything was 50% off, well, almost everything!  The shelves were getting pretty bare by the time I got there but I still managed to find a bargain or two.

When I saw this sugar bowl I knew I had to have it....look close at the lid!
Yep, it's a little coffee mug, is that not just precious!

I also fell in love with this little lamp.  I've been wanting a little nite lite lamp to put right here, it fit and gives just enough light to make the area cozy.
It was a bargain too, because it has a little flaw but you can't see it !!

Friends, the state of Texas has been hit hard with storms and tornados.  Please pray for the people who have been in harms way.  So much destruction and several deaths.  My heart is heavy

Troubled times come and can rock us to the very core of our soul.  But praise God, the One who never forsakes us.  So many battles and so many times, He carries us through it all.

For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of thy peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.
Isaiah 54:10

Until Next Time
I pray there is peace in your part of the world.
Love to all !

  2. First of all, I love your new background and header! Don't you just love lamps? I have a couple turned on in the kitchen/den waiting on the arrival of our two littles to stay with me for awhile! ;-) Ms. Mary, Tennessee has been hit hard, too. We look at all the destruction from the hand of God and the things that He's allowing to be filtered through His hands (Isis)....and ponder on how much longer He will allow all the devastation and misery....but there is HOPE....great HOPE.... in HIM!!! I HOPE you know how much you mean to me, sweet Lady. I'm so glad to be back on FB so I can keep up with you even more! You are LOVED!!!
