Monday Morning Tea Talk

Are you surprised to see 'Tea Talk' instead of 'Coffee Chat?'
There's a reason!!

It was so nice when I found this sweet card in my mailbox.

AND...it came with tea bags!
Vanilla Caramel and Green Tea Classic.

A very nice message inside
a very sweet card.
Thank you Sylvia!

It is so heartwarming to know you are in someone's thoughts,
feeling so very blessed.

Sylvia is a dear blogger friend,
please stop by  A Grandma's Blessings and tell her hello!

This morning I'm enjoying the vanilla caramel, oh my, it smells wonderful!

I was so pleased when I found out our local police department would be doing this....

Following a national trend, the police department has added the message “In God We Trust” to the rear window of its marked fleet thanks to an anonymous donor wh...o purchased the stickers for the department. The Texas Attorney General recently ruled that the motto, which can also be found on our US currency, is appropriate for government vehicles. Bumper stickers promoting the Houston 100 Club were also added to the fleet.

I just think it's awesome,
way to go La Porte!!

Some more good news!
We are getting a new shopping center, that's great but even greater, it will have a movie theater!
Oh...the excitement of it all!

Not a mall, just a shopping center with five anchor stores.

They haven't yet said what 'anchor' stores that might be....

It will be right next to the new HEB super store.
We are certainly coming up in the world!
I believe that's the theater in the upper right.

I am having some concerns, they started clearing the land and now they've stopped.
Haven't seen any work going on since before Christmas. ~sigh~
It will be so disappointing if something has happened to stop this center from being built.

Our GLOW group celebrated it's first anniversary last week.
We had a great meeting and we're certainly looking forward to the coming year.
A little gift bag for everyone!

I was so thankful when I saw the news of the hostage release.  I have prayed for Pastor Saeed Abedini and his family, it is just wonderful to know he is finally coming home. Three others were also released, so happy for all of them.
Thank You Lord Jesus!

I guess that's enough Tea Talkin' for today!
So I'll say...

Until Next Time,

  1. Aren't blogging friends just the greatest? I'll visit your sweet Friend in a bit. We have to drive at least 10-15 miles to get to a movie theater, so Yippee for you. That's wonderful about the police department not being ashamed of our precious Lord to proclaim Him for all to see...especially in this old sin filled world. It was wonderful about the release of Sawed....but I saw yesterday that several more Americans have been kidnapped...exactly what a pastor in our SS class said would happen. So sad. Anyway...HOPE you have a happy Monday!!!

  2. Oh you are so sweet, Mary for mentioning my blog! I hope you enjoyed the tea.
God is so awesome to send His son so we can have life in Him. HE also sends good Christian friends into our lives to encourage us along life's journey. Thanks for being that friend for me,Mary.
    Have a blessed day!

  3. What a sweet gift from Sylvia! I do love Bigelow tea. How exciting you are getting a new shopping center and I hope it continues to progress. I did read about Texas' okaying "In God We Trust" for police vehicles. Fantastic! I'm not sure how Florida stands on that. I'll have to find out. Have a great Monday!

  4. I am glad the hostages were released, unfort...well..it bought America to its knees... never mind on that comment. I am very happy for his release and the others...I am praying Robert Levinson will get returned soon.

I love seeing in God We Trust-our Alabama license plate has that for its motto. Sadly, we will be switching to satans spawn NY plates (giggling--satans spawn--as in the governor)

What a lovely gift you received. Have a beautiful day, friend.

  5. Enjoyed your blog post. Thanks for stopping by my blog to comment on the doll story.

Don't lose heart on the seeming construction activity for your new shopping center WITH THEATER (smile). We have a lot of construction going on in my town, too, and at times it does indeed seem like nothing's happening, and then they resume. I have no idea what that's about. I do hope all goes well with your construction. The plans look wonderful.

Enjoy your cup of tea. I'm a tea-drinker, too!

  6. What a wonderful surprise to find in your mail box! I hope the work begins again soon on your shopping center and movie theater! I have a sticker on the back of my car that says IN GOD WE TRUST and it does my heart good to know it will be seen in more places now! Excellent! Happy anniversary to your GLOW group!

  8. What a lovely gift from our mutual friend Sylvia! I love your little green teapot. Is it enamel? I have one very similar from my childhood. That made me smile. Sounds like your week is off to a wonderful start. May the Lord continue to bless you and give you more reasons to smile each day!!

  10. Yes, Praise God for the release of the prisoners. I'll have to admit that I didn't pray as often as I should have for them. Still grateful for the Lord answering many people's continued prayers. And a lesson for me.
You'll enjoy the shopping center. I'm guessing a Bed, Bath and Beyond store, an Old Navy, a Petsmart or another pet store, maybe a Ross or TJ Maxx, an Office Max. Those seem to be the trend in the shopping centers. Let me know how many I get right!
