S.A.F.E.

I might choose to have more than one special word for 2016.
Is that allowed?  :-)

As most of you know, with the Lord's prompting, I chose SURRENDER for 2016's special word.

The Lord has put some more words on my heart....

Why do we try to complicate life?
When all we need to do is Abide in Christ each and everyday.

We tend to stress and worry over choosing the right car, or right career, or where to go on vacation!

I do believe God cares about the small details in our life,
but until we get the Foundation in place,
the small details have nothing to build on.

Foundation, another good word.
What is our Foundation ~ For me it's a relationship with our Lord.

It's walking in obedience to His Word, it's talking to Him daily, it's a relationship with
 El Shaddai, God Almighty.

It's Jesus Christ.

On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

Surrender

Abide

Foundation

El Shaddai

These four words will keep you SAFE in the small details of day to day living.

Abide in Me, and I in you.  As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine,
neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
John 15:4

There has never been a time when God's love has failed.  There will never be a time when His love will fall short for you.
Ask, and you will receive His love.

Until Next Time
Be SAFE!

  5. That's good! I'm reminded of the scripture--one of my favorites, actually--in Psalm 91, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (I think I got that right!) We are SAFE in Him.

  7. Good words, Mary! Thanks for sharing with us these words of encouragement. My word is "rest", which could be the same as "Abide", we need to Rest in God's promises and Trust our lives and circumstances to Him.
    Have a blessed day!
