Thursday's Tidbits

I'm always searching for interesting and inspirational things to share with you.  This week I was looking through my scrapbook and found this sweet letter, written by my youngest daughter, Peggy, in April of 1999.

If you remember, that is the dreadful time of the Columbine shootings.  A terrible tragedy, that left our country in total shock.

Needless to say, it touched Peggy's heart....

There is a place in Heaven where all God's children play, where the fields are ever green, fertile and rolling.  The flowers are every shade, from the softest of purples, brightest of pinks, deepest of reds, and richest of blues.  In this field God's children will frolic and play.  They are jubilant and joyful for they have come home to their Savior!  They look down at us and wish we all could feel such overwhelming happiness.

They each hold a candle and as we weep, their candles burn low and they pause, but when we are strong and seek contentment and peace through God, they know we are one step closer to the happiness they seek for each of us!

Let this tragedy pull us all together in the common goal of harmony and peace through our Lord and Savior.  My prayers are with you all.

Peggy

I know you've noticed I keep changing my blog décor and header!  Love is in the air and I can't seem to find it !!  Nothing seems to satisfy me, I just can't find what I really like.  I thank each of you that have left such sweet compliments as I change and re-arrange!

I sat down at my craft table today, something I haven't done in a while, and made a Valentine Tag!

You know what I love?

I love porches!!

(source: facebook)
So cozy and inviting.  A wonderful place to sit and enjoy the day. It would be so nice to have a big front porch, but I'm happy with my very small back porch and love sitting out on pretty days!

My special word for 2016 is....just a reminder!
But whoever listens to me will dwell safely, and will be secure, without fear of evil.
Proverbs 1:33

Until Next Time
Let's all come together in the common goal of harmony and peace through our Lord and Savior.

  3. I change mine about once a week. I enjoy seeing new backgrounds and headers. I'm not real good with headers, or finding one that matches my background. That's one thing I miss from Multiply (my former blogging platform). It was so easy to change the look of your blog. Thank you for sharing your daughter's heartfelt letter from 1999. Beautiful. I am always lifted up by your posts!!
