Slump, Slump and More Slump!!

When you're in a Slump, you're not in for much fun.
Un-slumping yourself is not easily done.
-- Dr. Seuss

Yes friends, I'm in a slump!

Looking for inspiration everywhere...
none to be found!!

Where oh where did it go????

So....I decided to go through some of my old pictures, thinking maybe my inspiration was hiding there.  Some of it was.....

The Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ is the corner stone of our faith.

Men have said that the cross of Christ was not a heroic thing, but I want to tell you that the cross of Jesus Christ has put more heroism in the souls of men than any other event in human history. –John G. Lake

Galatians 6:14
But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

I love to drive by these three cross in front of one our local churches.  They're so pretty, prettier than the picture shows...

It was at the cross that the omnipotent Creator
died for the human creature's sin.
Anne Graham Lotz

No one understands the Scriptures,
unless he be acquainted with the cross....
Martin Luther

Emma turned FIVE!

Somewhere along the way I lost a year....I kept thinking she was going to be four. Time is flying!

One of her older cousins said he liked her superman costume.  She let him know real quick...not superman, superGIRL !!  We enjoyed being with her on her special day, a great party with lots of family and friends and little friends!

Until Next Time
Life Goes On....And God is Good!!

  1. I also love to see three crosses, especially when they pop up in unexpected places when we are traveling and they are in a field, for instance. Great scripture, quotes and photos! Your little darling is adorable!! Happy birthday to her and it sounds like you all had a great celebration! Your post was much better than my "nothing" post today! LOL

  3. First of all, welcome home!!! 😄 Miss Emma is adorable. Sometimes I have to really think about the ages of our grands, too.....and their birthdates. Am I getting old and senile? Lol Great cross pictures. There's a small church in Rocky Valley that has 3 rustic crosses that just touch my heart every time I drive past them. Happy Wednesday, sweet Friend. 😙

  5. How cute Emma is! They do grow so fast. I understand slumps, especially with my blog. I'm in one now. We used to have several places that had the three crosses but with construction and new owners of land etc, many are gone. A shame.

  11. I love how God takes our slumps and makes us triUMPhant over the Slump...especially when the victory comes through the cross of Christ...isn't that exactly how we were pulled out of the slump/dump of life? The power of the cross will always Triumph over our slumps, no matter where they come from. Love your little supergirl! So precious. Thank you for sharing your "slump" with us...it lifts us up and brightens our day.
