Do Not Lose Heart

2 Corinthians 4:16
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.

What a powerful reminder that we all need to hear these days: do not lose heart!

Are the times in which we are living troubling, disheartening, and concerning? Sure they are!
I know a few of you are feeling pretty hard pressed these days.

You’re not alone.

Paul had those same feelings at times.
Yet in the midst of all of his struggles and trials,
Paul tells us not to lose heart!
We must cling to this truth; God is ALWAYS at work!

God is always working in our lives for our benefit. That doesn’t mean our lives will be easy. Nor will all our prayers be answered the way that we want. But what we do know is we serve a good and loving Father who graciously extends grace upon grace on our behalf.

God has amazing plans for our lives, but our lives are not to bring us glory, but to glorify the One who made us… our Creator, Redeemer and good, good Father.
So do not lose heart, sweet friend. In today’s changing world now is the time to shine for Jesus!

He purposefully created you for this time in history.
(I love this statement.  WoW, just think about that for a moment.  He put us here, at this time in history, for His purpose.  WoW again!)

Don’t shrink back! Embrace His grace and contrary to the world around us, choose to live your life in gratitude. TOGETHER, let’s glorify our Lord by living lives focused on Him!

Make no mistake,

God is moving powerfully.

Do not lose heart!

  6. Yes, that IS a big WOW! We are here at this particular time in history for a purpose! Let us endeavor to live up to that purpose and plan that God has given us. Thank you.

  7. Yes, we are here for His purpose and glory.

“And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’" Acts‬ ‭17:25-28‬ ‭NIV‬‬

  9. How wonderful to know that we can rest in peace, in HIM. That thought never ceases to bless me. All that happens around me, the Lord has allowed, and His purpose is being fulfilled through it all, and I can rest and trust Him in that. May the Lord continue to bless and encourage your heart dear Mary!
