  5. I Knew we were kindred spirits...I am also a BULLDOG, and we had that same fight song...and I WAS a cheerleader, so I did a lot of cheering. I didn't marry my h.s. sweetheart, but I met him in Jr. college right after graduating, and we married the next year...so that was pretty close! Thank you for sharing this...brought back happy memories for me too. I stay in touch with my friends through facebook, but we only live about an hour away from my home town. I graduated in '68. still have my class ring, and it probably doesn't fit...I haven't even tried in a while... I do have a lettermen's jacket from being a cheerleader 4 years, co-capt. in my Jr. year, and Captain in my Sr. year. Thankfully my years of cheering were before they had to be a gymnast to perform! We just jumped up and down and made a lot of noise! I'm good at that still! LOL.

  6. Sweet! Love those memories. There was a blogger who each week had us dredge up and write about those memories and link up with her. I enjoyed it so. I don't know what happened to her.

  7. Hi Mary, I enjoyed reading your post. I graduated in 1974! I married the guy I dated in my Senior year who was in college. My sisters were cheer leaders. I was in Girls League and Students Relations and competitive sports. I do have my HS ring, and I think it still fits. I used the family car but got a Chevelle Malibu once I started college. I still know my school song and keep up with a few friends on FB. I live a bout 25 miles from my hometown. Thanks for the memories.

  9. Hi Mary, I always enjoy dropping in here as I get to start my day with a smile. I don't think of my high school memories as it's been way to long. I graduated in '56 in the Bronx and both my elementary and high school do not exist anymore. Enjoyed your post though. Love the cartoon. Have a day of blessings my friend.
