Monday Morning Coffee Chat

It's Monday.
I'm happy ~ I'm blessed.
God is going to do amazing things this week!

Coffee is good and hot this morning, just the way I like it.
I finished my owl cross-stitch, I think he's adorable!  He was fun to stitch, and because it was an easy pattern it didn't take me long to finish.

The pattern was a freebie I found online and downloaded several months ago. I love feebies, don't you?

While I stitched I was listening to the Left Behind series on audio cassette.  I only got to book 4, but I've already started another pattern so I can continue listening to this great series.  I love to listen to audio books while I stitch.

I've been riding my bike!
I made room in my craft/sewing room to bring it in from the garage.  It's just too hot out there for me. Since bringing it in I ride 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes at night.  That might not sound like a lot to some of you, but with my health issues I'm pretty proud of that  time.

Bible Trivia:
The time period of the book of Genesis spans more time than all of the rest of the Bible combined.

Just For Laughs:
A mother was preparing pancakes for her sons, Kevin, 5, and Ryan, 3. The boys began to argue over who would get the first pancake. Their mother saw the opportunity for a moral lesson. If Jesus were sitting here, He would say, 'Let my brother have the first pancake. I can wait.' Kevin turned to his younger brother and said, 'Ryan, you be Jesus.'

Monday's Bible Verse:
For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.
        Psalm 33:4

  4. Mary that owl is just precious. And yes, freebies are wonderful, especially when they are as well designed as that one. Good for you on getting your exercise in. I wear a step counter and I aim for 10,000 during the weekdays but last week I just did not make it. Will try harder this week.

  5. What a sweet owlie! It looks like it would be fun to do. Good for you riding your bike. My knees can't take that kind of repetive motion right now but I hope to increase my walking. I saw "The Story" in your photo. My daughter gave me that and I love it! Have a blessed day, Mary.

  6. Good for you on those 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the evening. That amounts to 20 minutes a day and that is GREAT! You go, Girlfriend!

Your owl stitchery is so adorable! You do lovely work, Mary.

Loved the cute story...it made me laugh out loud. It also made me think of my brothers when they were young. hahaha

  7. Awe, such a cute owl. Debbie must not have seen this yet. LOL! Oh yes, I want my coffee hot too. My coffee pot makes it plenty hot for two of three daughters that drink coffee but not for me. I zap it in the microwave. I've been thinking about getting me a little bike like that too. But girl, you last longer than I would I am afraid! Cute little story. Gave me a good little chuckle this Monday. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
