YESTERDAY
A day to remember!

Matt and Kaylea are now husband and wife.  A beautiful ceremony made even more special because Matt's dad performed the ceremony.

They've waited a while for this day to come.  I'm so happy they both graduated from college and are as prepared as can be for their future together.

After honeymooning in London they will return to their recently purchased home.

Ava and Emma were the flower girls, they had big fun playing at the photo booth after the ceremony.

Here I am!!  Big smile because I was being escorted by our grandson and I was looking at the groom, our oldest grandson.  Touched my heart because he was looking back at me with a sweet smile.

Proud Daddy giving his daughter in marriage to Matt.  A very sweet moment.

Peggy and Hank
The grooms parents!

Yes, it was a great day, sweet wedding, lots of friends and family.

The wedding was about 40 miles from our home and Mr D isn't allowed to drive yet.  So, I got the job, it was easy peasy going, but coming home was a different story.  Our plan was to leave early enough so I wouldn't be driving at night.  Well, that didn't happen.  I handled it well though until it started raining.  Yikes...stressed.  I don't know why, I had prayed Psalm 91:11 over us and I knew we were in God's hands.  I did great and we got home safe and sound.

Mr D and I also had great concerns about our health and being strong enough to attend the wedding.  I would have been heartbroken if we would not have been able to go.  Once again the Great Physician came to our rescue.  Our stamina isn't what it should be yet, but by God's grace we were able to attend and have a great time.

Thanking God for all our blessings.

Hope you enjoyed a day in my world.

Until Next Time

  7. Oh so glad you were able to be a part of this special day...so happy for all of your family! And so thankful the Lord helped you get home safely. I know we don't do much night driving anymore either...it's amazing how quickly we get out of the habit of driving at night, and it sure seems strange when we have to do it. But God is with us, wherever and whenever we have to travel. Happy for all of you.

  8. Mary, I'm so happy for you to be able to attend the wedding of your oldest grandson. How very special and so sweet the picture of you walking down the aisle looking at him smiling at you. I totally relate to the anxiety of driving in the rain. So glad you made it home safely.
