"The Cross Still Stands"
No matter how the world changes, the Cross remains—a symbol of God's unchanging love, grace, and redemption. Through every storm and season, it stands as a beacon of hope and a reminder that Jesus' sacrifice still speaks life, forgiveness, and eternal victory.
Beautiful words from Fannie Crosby:
- Jesus, keep me near the cross,There a precious fountain—Free to all, a healing stream—Flows from Calv’ry’s mountain.
- In the cross, in the cross,Be my glory ever;Till my raptured soul shall findRest beyond the river.
- Near the cross, a trembling soul,Love and Mercy found me;There the bright and morning starSheds its beams around me.
- Near the cross! O Lamb of God,Bring its scenes before me;Help me walk from day to day,With its shadows o’er me.
- Near the cross I’ll watch and waitHoping, trusting ever,Till I reach the golden strand,Just beyond the river.
- Blessings to All
- Until Next Time
Thank you. I needed this and God heard my cry.
ReplyDeleteI've sung that song ever since I can remember! We sing many of the contemporary praise songs now, but some of the old hymns are such a comfort-especially those by Fannie Crosby.
ReplyDeleteI have loved that song since I was a child. Thank you so much. I posted a Fannie Crosby song this week on my blog too!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Amen!! We sing this hymn often at church. Fanny Crosby wrote some beautiful hymns. I'm happy to say that we still all the old ones at my church.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I'm not familiar with the hymn but the words are sure uplifting. "Hoping, trusting ever!"
ReplyDeleteI love those words from Fanny Crosby: ...'There the Bright and Morning Star shed it's beams around me.' Reminds me of the day I gave my life to the Lord. He saw me, even when I didn't know Him. He is such a good God!
