There was a guy putting up a 'For Sale' sign in the yard of the newly constructed house across the street. I guess I'll now be entertained by the parade of people coming to take a look. It is a nice home, and I hope it brings good neighbors to our street.
I have one bloom on the day lilies this morning, hopefully more will be opening soon, their yellow blooms are beautiful against all the greenery. We still haven't put out new plants, time is marching on and we need to get that done.
Truth is, Mr D and I have both been feeling puny and saw the doctor last Monday. Although Mr D is doing well I'm still dragging and feeling weak. I started on an antibiotic and hopefully I'll be good as new soon.
I've been working on a diamond art that Tammy gave me for my birthday.
I'm thinking I'll ask Mr D to go to King's Barbecue and bring me back a baked potato, fully loaded. Yum!
Living below, in this old sinful world
Hardly a comfort can afford
Striving alone, to face temptation's sword
Where could I go but to the Lord?
Where could I go, oh where could I go?
Seeking a refuge for my soul
Needing a friend, to help me in the end
Where could I go, but to the Lord?
Until Next Time

Your diamond art looks lovely! I just don't have the patience it takes for work like that (or cross stitch, etc.). Hope you got that loaded potato and I hope you feel better each day as the meds do their job. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better very soon.
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope by now, Mr. D's on his way home with your loaded potato. Comfort food!
ReplyDeleteThe diamond art 'bouquet' is so pretty; I've never seen anything like that before. Please let us know how you're feeling ... oh, and what "interesting" house shoppers you might see!
What a beautiful piece of art, Mary. I'm just now learning about this. I had never heard of it before. I sure do hope you get to feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteIt's a mixed bag of emotions when I see a neighbor put up a for sale sign because you never know what type of neighbor you'll get. And we've had some bad loud and rude neighbors in my life. As we get older, we don't want that!
Sorry to hear you're not feeling well and hope it won't be long before you are well again.
ReplyDeleteDiamond Art can become addicting as I'm finding out. :). It is so relaxing and the time zooms by.
Your diamond art is gorgeous. I am so sorry to hear that you are not feeling well.
ReplyDeleteI pray 🙏 that you have a rapid recovery.
Your Diamond Art bouquet is beyond beautiful. What will you do with it once it's done? Do they go on a wall?
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry that you're feeling unwell and I hope the meds help.
Very pretty on that diamond work. Whatever is going around is going around, keeping you in prayer. smiles
ReplyDeleteI do hope you feel better very soon.
ReplyDeleteYour diamond art is lovely.
All the best Jan
Mary, I love that song! I can still hear Vestel Goodman singing it with the Gaithers :) And I'm sorry you're still sick. I finally turned the corner yesterday and feel almost back to normal this morning. Hopefully you will too. I love those diamond projects, but I bet your eyes get tired! Feel better soon :) Take care.
ReplyDeleteThat diamond art is really pretty!
ReplyDeleteSorry you haven't been feeling well lately. Praying for complete healing and for you to feel better soon.
Where could I go but to the Lord? That is so good, and so true. He alone has the answer to eternal life. God bless you Mary! Have a great week!
Hoping you are feeling better, and that the baked potato was just what you needed! I hope your new neighbors will be special and wonderful. Your diamond art is beautiful, I've never tried it! It looks so fun! SO thankful we can go to the Lord for all we have need of! Blessings to you!
