Monday Coffee Talk

As I sit here in front of the big window with my morning coffee, I see Roy stop in front of the house. He’s been mowing our yard for several years now, and I’m always grateful when he arrives. It truly is a blessing to have someone who takes such good care of the things we can no longer manage ourselves.

Mr. D always loved tending the yard — keeping the grass neat, the edges crisp, and everything looking just so. He can’t mow anymore, but he still pours his heart into the flowerbeds. He weeds, prunes, and waters with the same quiet pride he always has. The yard may look a little different these days, but the love he puts into it hasn’t changed one bit.

 Tammy and Bo are traveling around Texas with a jaunt into New Mexico, they're visiting a lot of State Parks along the way.  Of course she's sending lots of great pictures of various things, but this is by far my favorite!

I fell in love with cardinal in the midst of all the green leaves!

While out running errands last week, we decided a good bowl of Gumbo would hit the spot!
So, we turned into Baytown Seafood where the gumbo is always good and hot and so are the boudin balls. {{love}}

I finished reading the series of Harper Rogers Cozy Mysteries.

There's only three books in this series, nothing was mentioned about a fourth anytime soon.  These books were very light and easy reading, yet they kept me wanting to turn the page.
 The first two were only 229 and 230 pages, while book 3 was even shorter at 190 pages. The best thing for me is they are large print, yea!!!

It's been a while since I shared pics of these great-grands.
Emma Faith and Ava Love, sweet sisters.
They have grown up much too fast for me.πŸ’š

“As we step into a new week, may we carry the quiet confidence that God is already ahead of us, smoothing the rough places and lighting the path we cannot yet see. May His peace settle over our hearts like morning sunlight on a porch swing, steady and sure.”

“The Lord will guide you continually…” — Isaiah 58:11

Until Next Time
