A Little of This and a Little of That

As most of you know I enjoy special coffee mugs for special seasons.

I only use this mug during the month of November.  It reminds me each morning how blessed I am to have so much to be thankful for...

Look what Bethel Baptist has on this sign...
'Fall in love with Jesus,
He never leaves you.'
Perfect for November

Something new in the pantry.

Watching TV at night is not complete without some munchies.  Mr. D came home with these ~ notice ~ they are not regular cheez-its ~ they are Pepper Jack Cheez-its! And they are oh so yummy.  I could eat the whole box!

I am enjoying this audio book.
Transported by the Lion of Judah
by: Anne Elmer

Ann Elmer never saw it coming, but before she knew it the Lord was transporting her all over the earth through multiple experiences.  She witnessed God's people from many different groups and in many countries - no longer from her perspective.

Steve Shultz says.."Ride along with Anne Elmer, who though hospital-bound in France, is nevertheless transported all over the world by the Lion of Judah Himself to see the Church from Jesus' perspective.  You'll never judge the Church the same way again - I promise."

There is one more thing I would like to share with you today.  I have only shared with a dear friend ~ now that a few days have gone by ~ enough time to process and praise what God put on my heart just a few mornings ago ~ it's time to share with others.

Regular visitors know, when weather permits, my porch is my prayer closet.  One morning, like many other mornings, I was giving God my heart.  This particular day I was asking for strength to overcome an issue in my life.  I was very deep into my time with Him, when I felt/heard Him speak to my spirit.  He lovingly reminded me that He had given me strength to do all things at Calvary, so many years ago.  My problem, I fail to remember it and I fail to claim it. He has already provided me/us with so much and we/I fail to claim it.  It is so readily available for all who know the Lord.

I have heard people ask, 'how do you know it's God speaking to you?'   The only answer I have is...you just know....I'm sure it's a different feeling for different people.  For me..I feel like I'm on the down side of a roller coaster, my heart flutters..I feel anticipation and excitement! And with that said, believe it or not, there is such a sense of peace.......and with that peace always comes praise.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Philippians 4:14

It's not He will ~ It's He has!

Got several days of rain heading our way, time to settle in with a good book.

  1. Oh, Ms. Mary it makes me happy deep down in my soul to read your sweet words. What a personal, intimate God we have Who loves us so very much to speak to us about our requests. I just love you...plain and simple! :)

  3. Hello, Mary! I'm glad Debbie "introduced" us! Looks like we share several interests - the Greatest is our relationship with the Lord Jesus! I've had to weed out my coffee mug collection. It was just getting too large. I look forward to visits the rest of this year and into 2015 (Gasp! Can you believe how close that IS?????)
