A friend sent these to me, she grew them in her backyard!
I have been trying to decide how I want to use them.
I could cut them into wedges for our tea, or I'm sure I could get enough juice to make a lemon glaze for a cake, (they're very juicy) or maybe a tall glass of lemonade!
Have you ever drank hot lemonade? Long ago and far away, Momma would make this for us when we had a cold or sore throat. It is very soothing and believe it or not....when you're all stuffy, the hot lemon feels good going down!
If you like honey, sweeten it with honey. I like mine sweetened with good ol' sugar. It's also good if you put a few red hot candies in the bottom of the cup and then pour in your hot water. The candies melt giving your lemonade a little 'kick.' You can add mint or maybe a cherry for garnish. I didn't have either of those today, so I just used a wedge of the lemon.
Until Next Time
Life is just a bowl of cherries lemons.
I love lemonade! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
