Browsing Thru My Praise Journal

We may run, walk, stumble, drive or fly ~ But let us never lose sight of the reason for the journey, or miss a chance to see a rainbow on the way.
Gloria Gaither

They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in the world.
( I've added a fourth )
Someone to love ~ Someone to hold
 Something to hope for and...
 A RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST.

One of the most common mistakes we make during the tough times in life is to place our eyes on circumstances rather than on the promises of God.

"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases.
His mercies never come to an end.
They are new every morning.
Great is thy faithfulness."
Lamentations 3:22-23

It's happened again!  I had no intention of using any song lyrics in this post.  But the Holy Spirit had other plans.  As I was typing the above scripture these words came into my heart, and then they came out of my mouth.  So glad there's no audio, my singing would surely hurt your ears.  But I know the Good Lord enjoyed my singing because it was praise for Him from my heart.

Standing on the promises of Christ my King
Through eternal ages let His praises ring
Glory in the Highest, I will shout and sing
Standing on the promises of God

Click HERE to hear Alan Jackson sing this old hymn.  He sings it much better than I. :)

Until Next Time
Close your ears, I'm gonna sing now!

  1. Oh my friend, what a beautiful post! How true... we often focus on the circumstances rather than God's promises. Thank you for this precious reminder.

  5. You are certainly right... life is so empty without the love of our heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ. Thanks for sharing your "Praise Journal" with us.
