I've managed to go a week without blogging! Sometimes life gets so busy and the day is over before I've done everything I set out to do. This past week has been that busy.
Tonight I have been reading/scanning Life Promises for Women. It's one of those small books that I like so much and one that I keep by my chair for easy reading. Did I say easy reading? Well, it is easy, but very powerful. As I was scanning the content page my eyes stopped at part VI, Graciousness. That caught my interest, what is a gracious woman? I sure would like to be gracious.
She Has An Air About Her
When I asked my friend Claire to describe the most gracious woman she knew, she immediately told me about Stephanie. "Stephanie is always glad to see you. If you visit her home, she gives you a big hug and says, 'Please come in and make yourself comfortable.' She instantly make you feel special by being warm, affirming, and attentive to your needs. Most people want to talk about themselves, but Stephanie asks questions and is an excellent listener. She wants to know about you and your family. After a first meeting, she remembers that you drink tea instead of coffee."
A gracious woman gains respect.
