Shout to the Lord

Backyard Flowers

I love these flowers.  I see them in a lot of yards but I don't know what they are.

Psalm 100 reminds us that the entire earth should "Shout to the Lord."  As God's children, we are blessed beyond measure, but sometimes, as busy women living in a demanding world, we are slow to count our gifts and even slower to give thanks to the Giver.

Just look how big those blooms are !!

Our blessings include life and health, family and friends, freedom and possessions ~ for starters.  And, the gifts we receive from God are multiplied when we share them.  May we always give thanks to God for His blessings, and may we always demonstrate our gratitude by sharing our gifts with others.

We've had so much rain the grass is growing faster than the mowers come to mow!  Bitsy Baby (dressed in black and white) doesn't like the tall grass rubbing against her tummy, she does her business and gets right back on the porch.  Our little brown Buddy Boy could care less, he's Tom Sawyer and Huckaberry Finn rolled into one!

The 118th Psalm reminds us that, "This is the day which the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. (v24)  May we celebrate this day and the One who created it.

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, at least until the rains return, and the weatherman says they are returning.

I am to praise God in all things, regardless of where they seem to originate.  Doing this is the key to receiving the blessings of God.

Is anyone happy?  Let him sing songs of praise.
James 5:13

    1. It does remind me of the garlic plants, just a lot bigger than the ones I'm familiar with ~ it hasn't got a garlic smell, in fact the blooms have no smell at all. Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

    1. So much flooding all around us. So grateful to say we have stayed high and dry for now. Our little town has had lots of street flooding and of course those who commute to Houston for work have really been put in harms way. Weather like this makes me happy I'm retired and can snuggle at home and pray for others who have to be out in it. Texas has really been hit hard.
