Texas Floods

I think the picture says it all.

This is maybe 20 miles from where we live.
We are very thankful that these flood waters have not affected our home.
hmmm....or is it effected?  Why can't I ever remember which is which?  I'm sure everyone knows what I mean!!!

Flood waters are slowly going down in some areas and still rising in others.

Until Next Time
Please keep my home state of Texas in your prayers.
Thanks!
Mary

  1. Affect is a verb. Effect is a noun. Think cause and effect. :-) Okay, now that I sound like an English teacher-- holy moly that is a whole lotta water! Glad you are not dealing with it at your house. I had a friend whose house flooded just a tiny bit in the late 90's...30K in damage. Insurance at first said they would not cover it, but it turned out there was a flood plain loophole and they ended up covering it. Whew!

Hang in there. Praying for you!

  2. Prayed for Texas during my prayer time this morning, Ms. Mary. We're hearing terrible stories about deaths from the water rising so rapidly. So scary and sad. Very glad you're ok! HOPE you have a great weekend.

  3. Glad to hear you have been spared. We are really getting it bad here but fortunately have not experienced what some of the others have. More coming tonight.
