Around Town & FridayFotoFriends!

As most of you know, Mr D and I love to ride around our little part of the world just to keep up with what's happening around us.  Of course, I always take my camera along just in case that perfect picture jumps out to greet us.

I was actually taking a picture of the bird, I was surprised when I saw the reflection of the tree.  Made a great picture!

I know you're probably wondering why I would take a picture like this!  Well, we pass this old house a lot of times and I always wonder why in the world didn't they paint the gable????  Another mystery of life.  lol

 I really love this picture taken by my niece, Julia.  She shared it with me in the fall of 2014 and I'm just now sharing it on Around Town.  Thank you Julia!

An old fence all decorated for Christmas.

We have a lot of walk bridges in this area!

Praying God's Blessings on you today!!
Have a great week-end!

Today I'm linking with Deb over at Breathing In Grace for
Friday Foto Friends!
Stop by and say hello!!

Behold, God is my salvation,
I will trust and not be afraid;
For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song;
He also has become my salvation.
Isaiah 12:2

Until Next Time

  1. I really enjoy seeing pictures of where you live. Love the bird picture. Maybe the eaves are too high to paint? Says the lady afraid of heights...lol. Thanks so much for linking with me today, Ms. Mary. HOPE you have a great weekend!

  4. Perhaps the people with the gabled house ran out of paint! It looks like a cute house. Lovely photos. I always forget to bring my camera when I got out or, if I bring it,forget to get it out. Have a great weekend.

  7. Lovely pictures of your neighborhood. I try to remember my camera every time we go out the door, especially for walks. We live in the Ocala National Forest, and you never know what might pop out of the woods in front of you! Yes, the unpainted gable is a mystery. Maybe the ladder just couldn't reach that high! It's funny the things we notice when we take the time to observe God's wonderful world all around us. Thank you for this lovely ride with you and Mr. D. today! It was delightful.

  8. Hello Mary, First off, thank you stopping by and commenting on my post about chickens. Our town passed an ordinance last year allowing us to have chickens. I was on the city council at the time and fought hard to get it passed. We are reaping the fruit of hard work.
    I agree...why wasn't the gable painted? I see things like that and wonder too!
    Have a wonderful week. I look forward to reading more of your posts.

  10. I love photos that have a surprise when I sit down to really look at them! Your bird is awesome with the tree's reflection. I had to smile about the unpainted gable--there is a house in a nearby town that has only half of the porch painted for years now. I smile every time we pass it. Fall colors are rare here in New Zealand, as most of the trees are pine of some sort. The other photos are great to see!
