Surrender

.....to give oneself up, as into the power of another; submit or yield.

Finally, I've chosen my 'special' word for 2016, I should say, the Lord has chose my word for 2016.

It's amazing how God speaks to us, out of the blue....bam....He's put something right on your heart.

I will always strive to be in complete surrender, to submit myself, to yield all I am to my Lord and Savior,  Jesus Christ.

I Surrender All

All to Jesus I surrender,
humbly at His feet I bow.
Worldly pleasures all forsaken,
Take me Jesus, take me now.

All to Jesus I surrender,
make me Savior wholly thine.
Let me feel the Holy Spirit,
Truly know that thou are mine.

All to Jesus I surrender,

Lord I give myself to Thee.
Fill me with thy love and power,
let Thy blessing fall on me.

I surrender all, I surrender all,

All to Thee my Blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

Submit yourselves therefore to God.  Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
James 4:7

Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
 Matthew 11:29

And he said to all, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.
      Luke 9:23

  6. I love your word, and am so thankful to have surrendered to my Lord many years ago. It is, however, an ongoing work. Sleep well my friend.

  7. Great word for 2016...for life actually. I love that song. Our Pastor is also an excellent pianist/musician, so in 99% of his sermons he'll say, "That reminds me of a song" and begin singing. It's so fun to break into spontaneous worship with him. Your song reminded me of that.
