Our Prayers Never Die

If you heard a crazy lady squealing with delight yesterday, it was me !!

I finally hung my new curtains and I love them!  The pictures do not do them justice.

They just make the whole room brighter.

I had a wonderful time at GLOW Wednesday, the ladies made my birthday so special.
I loved when they brought out my cake, the candles were the number candles and I was seeing the 'back'  which looked like 17.  I was laughing, telling them I would take that age!!

You know what?  I really wouldn't, I've already been 17, I'm happy to be 71.

shhhhh...don't tell anyone I said that !!

They gave me the most beautiful cross with a beautiful story to go with it ~

We've been meeting at the same restaurant since last summer and we have had the same waitress all these months.  She is a wonderful young woman and we've adopted her!  Yes, we have.   With great sadness I tell you that her hubby was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in November.  Of course he's not able to work but he has been making these beautiful crosses.  It's very hard to see, but there's a crown of thorns draped on the top.  This cross will always be very special to me, not just because it's so pretty, but because of the very special people it will always remind me of  ~ AND  because it's a beautiful reminder of the shed blood of my Savior, Jesus Christ.

We also had a great study from
The Circle Maker,
sharing a few lines from Chapter 3

Our prayers never die

You've got to define the promises God wants you to stake claim to, the miracles God wants you to believe for, and the dreams God wants you to pursue. Then you need to keep circling until God gives you what He wants and He wills.  That's the goal.

Well developed faith results in well-defined prayers, and well-defined prayers result in a well lived life.

The more faith you have, the more specific your prayers will be.  And the more specific your prayers are, the more Glory God receives.

Potential is God's gift to us; what we do with it is our gift back to God.

And I love this one...

Success is living life with such authentic integrity that those who know me best actually respect me most.
