Monday Morning Coffee Chat

Rain is here at last and it feels so good!

With the rain are cooler temps, and that feels so good too!

We've got rain forecast for every day this week, it is so needed.  The yards and plants are thirsty.  I water my plants everyday but there's nothing like rainwater to make them pretty.  I love to sit on the porch while it's raining and watch the flowers refreshing themselves.

Having my coffee in this pretty beautiful mug!  Notice the flowers are even growing up the handle.

I've been keeping busy with several different crafts...a little cross stitch, a little painting and making some pretty pages for my praise journal.  Things I'll be sharing in days to come.

Mr D and I still get out and ride around, keeping up with what's going on in our little part of the world.  I'm so excited about our new shopping center.  Last fall they started clearing the land and then just stopped.  Absolutely no activity, needless to say, I was very disappointed.  As time has passed I thought the deal must have fell through and our shopping center was not to be.  {{sigh}}

You can only imagine how excited I was when we drove by and they were once again busy clearing the land.  It's going to be a small center, but what's so wonderful for me is.....there's going to be a movie theater.  We haven't had a theater in my little town in years!  I love to go to the movies!!

My grandson, Cody, is home from spending the summer touring with the Blue Stars.  He really enjoys it and I'm so proud of him, but it's always good to know he's back home with his family.  Don't get me wrong, I want my grandchildren to soar, to have adventures, and to travel the world.  I wish them every success where ever that may take them.

It's just comforting for this Granny to know all her flock is in the roost!

My blog is always for God's Glory and I always enjoy sharing Him with all of you.
He really is always here for us!

You're Always There For Me
a poem by:
Joanna Fuchs

When the world comes crashing in
and chaos rules my mind.
I turn my heart to you, Lord,
and pure, sweet peace I find.
You lift me out of trouble,
You comfort me in pain,
You nourish, heal and cleanse me,
like cool, refreshing rain.
In times of joy and bliss,
when things are going right,
You lift me even higher,
and fill me with delight.
You listen to my prayers,
You hear my every plea,
I'm safe because I know,
You're always there for me.

Thank You Jesus.

Did y'all notice.....
the little bee on the inside rim of the cup.
I bet he would tickle my nose if he could!

Wishing you happy days!

  1. Love the cup, although the bee would alarm me every time, lolol. We need more rain here, what rain we did get over the weekend, wasn't enough to end the drought. Some say it is going to be a brutal winter...sigh...

Have a beautiful day friend. smiles

  2. That is a lovely cup, but that bee would make me crazy! I'm allergic to the stings and am not sure I could actually put that cup to my lips! LOL Love the poem. Such a blessing!

  3. Oh, such a sweet post today. Love that pretty mug with purple flowers. I'm thinking that bee would sting, not tickle... lol Awesome poem. I try for my blog to be for His glory, too! Happy Monday, Friend!

  4. We are also experiencing some rain and much cooler temperatures, both of which are blessings, as are your comments today. I like the cup and since I am right handed, I would see the bee and feel safe knowing he won't bother me. My prayer is also that my little blog will bless the Lord and my family. I'm glad your grandson is home safely and I share those same thoughts. Praying our kids are making their way back today from their adventures.

  5. Beautiful cup, beautiful rain, beautiful poem shared by a beautiful friend!

    1. Beautiful comment from my beautiful friend!

  6. Beautiful cup, beautiful rain, beautiful poem shared by a beautiful friend!

  7. Beautiful post today. I absolutely love your pretty mug. It's great to hear some much needed rain has found you. It is going to be super hot later this week and I'm already wishing for rain ;-) It's nice that you are going to get a new mall where you can do some browsing and enjoy some movies.
