Monday Morning Coffee Chat

Not much happening at my place these days.  I'm not going to complain about it though.

I've been doing a little porch sitting, cloudy days have brought lower temps, so it's actually been nice out there.

This time of year I can hear the high school band practicing every afternoon.  I enjoy hearing them play.

Sharing from Helen Steiner Rice

A warm ready smile, or a kind
thoughtful deed,
Or a hand outstretched
in an hour of need,
Can change our whole outlook
and make the world bright
Where a minute before
just nothing seemed right.

It's a wonderful world
and it always will be,
If we keep our eyes open
and focused to see
The wonderful things
man is capable of
When he opens his heart
to God and His love.

Until Next Time
Opening my heart to receive His love!

  1. Sometimes those times when nothing is happening can be the sweetest of times! I'm glad you are enjoying your front porch. Love the photos. Have a great day.

  2. I'm looking forward to cooler temps, but it will be awhile for us yet. Oh how I remember band practice after school. Loved it. When the breeze is just right, we can hear the band playing at the high school that is a few miles south of us. We can also hear the football game announcer sometimes on a Friday night, too. Sure brings back memories! Love your red colors today!

  4. We are also able to hear the band practice and it does take you back, doesn't it? On weekends, we hear the live bands that play at the restaurants up on the hill over the lake. Sometimes it's good ... sometimes not! It's all good though! Wish we had a real front porch. The mosquitoes get us on the back porch.
