Just Ask!

Wednesday's Wisdom...

Wisdom is dependence on God for direction in any and all decisions.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6

James spoke of himself as a servant of God.

James 1:1a
“James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ …”

The position of being a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ is the foundation of wisdom.

Be a servant of God and ask for His wisdom!

James 1:5
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

Without wisdom, knowledge is just a bunch of information.  If we want to be wise women, the Bible says all we need to do is just ask.  God will give us understanding and insight that goes beyond our personal experiences.

It rained most of the day making the house cool and dark except for the lamp and television.  We had some errands to run this morning and when we were done it was time for lunch, so we stopped by Dairy Queen before coming home.  Thankfully the heavy rains didn't start until early afternoon, by then we were home snug as a couple of bugs in a rug!

I feel very sad for my dear friend, Zephra.
Her precious dogbaby, CoCo, passed away this evening.

RIP CoCo

Today's Wisdom:

  5. Please send us some of your rain! It is dry as a bone here in FL. Glad you are snug and safe. So sorry about your friend's dog. That is a sad time for her. Wisdom...don't we always need more of that? As soon as I think I've figured things out, God shows me I really don't know it all, and I need His wisdom every day. But it's always there, just ask!!!

  6. Proverbs 3:5-6 is a very special passage to me. In 2011 the Lord seemed to be having that Scripture turn up everywhere I went...books, Pastor's messages, etc. In July of that year I fell in our kitchen and broke the femur in my left leg and my right wrist. As I was laying on the floor trying to assess the damage done the first thing that came to my mind and heart was the words of Proverbs 3:5-6.

Ask...it is all we have to do if we want wisdom. Far too often I am afraid that I neglect to do just that. When I do it is amazing to me how it changes the way I see things!
