Monday Morning Coffee Chat

Took a few days to refresh and regroup...but life kept me busy.

Friends Are a Blessing:

See that bottle snuggled in the red mesh?  It's a gift from a dear friend, something she brought back from a cruise.....hmmmm......wonder what it is??

It's VANILLA, straight from Mexico.  Thank you Arlene! It's strong with a wonderful flavor.  It will be so good on baking days.  I might have to share some of it with my girls.

I've Been Busy:
I did some painting.
I love red and have been wanting to paint these shelves for a while, I finally got it done.  It hangs over my sewing machine, I also sit there to cross stitch.

Spent some time on the porch.....

potting some new plants!

Family Time:
My sweet granddaughter Maegan gave me these flowers.
She knows the way to this Granny's heart. ❤❤❤

I love this coffee bar!  The only thing I would do different is add some RED.

Just So Ya Know:
I love Little Big Shots, it airs Sunday nights at 7:00 CST.  Children are so cute and when they have so much talent, at such an early age, it's amazing!  I think I'm smiling the entire hour!

Today's Scripture:
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
1 Peter 5:6-7

Until Next Time:

Time is short.
Hell is hot.
The King is coming,
Ready or not!!

  2. I saw that photo on FB also Mary and like you I think a pop of red is what it needs. I planted flower pots last week also, yours are so pretty.

  3. Mary, you are going to love using that vanilla! Our daughter would always bring me some when they would come home on furlough when they were missionaries in Mexico City. You can actually get by with using just half the amount of vanilla that the recipe calls for.

Your pretty red shelving unit is so pretty! Isn't it amazing what a coat of paint can do for our spirits? Our kitchen is going to get painted soon and I can hardly wait!

That coffee bar is so pretty. Our rooms here in this house are too small for nice big pieces of furniture like that, but I did a little something similar on the kitchen counter.

Your flowers are so pretty. You've been a busy lady!

  6. Sp glad to see your blog today Miss Mary. Glad you took a break. Awe...I can't look at your shelf for looking at your pretties on that shelf! LOL! I too love the red. It pops to me. YUM, I bet that vanilla will be good for sure. Oh, we love the Little Big Shots too! I am amazed at the talent these kids have. We get home from church on Sunday nights just in time to watch it and really enjoy it. Hugs and blessings to you sweet lady! Cindy

  9. I love the quote at the end...really good! Love the red shelf...perfect!! The coffee bar idea is cute, but yes, it needs some color...red would be fine. Love real vanilla! What a nice gift! The flowers are all wonderful...isn't it fun to get your hands dirty and plant something beautiful? Enjoy your porch time and oh, I almost forgot, I LOVE the red truck full of dogs. I love the truck especially. The dogs are cute...but I'd love that truck! That would be so much fun! Okay, bye now!!

I know you will enjoy the vanilla - a very thoughtful and useful gift. We sat on the porch this evening and thoroughly enjoyed it.
My sister told me about the talented little girl on Little Big Shots last night and I was able to see a video of her performance...amazing!
Hope you have a restful evening.
